A totally different display of these cars to when I was there...
The Lotuses are there and I think they had display boards like the later F1 cars.
And what is the little Ferrari there? An interim V6 from 1962/63?

It's the 1963 space frame V6 in its late season form with cutdown engine cover.

Thanks, Roger...
I knew it had to be from that era some time.

Regarding R7 I am quoting oldracingcars.com here:
it last raced at the Enna Grand Prix in August 1965, and was never seen again. It is possible that this is the Lotus 25-BRM wrecked by Rob Slotemaker in a test at Silverstone late in 1966, but this would have been more a year after its last appearance.
I have a theory here:
If you take a look into the documentary "McQueen - The lost movie" about the movieproject "The day of the champion", you will see some fictional onboard footage from the Nürburgring showing both Reg Parnell cars.
As we know from "Le Mans" Sturges and McQueen used real machinery and no mock-up's like "Grand Prix" did.
Wouldn't it be possible that R7 was kept as it was in August 1965 for the production of the movie, so they could use it for workshop, testing and pitlane sequences?
"The day of the champion" was finally canceled in July 1966. So this would be the time by which R7 would have become available again.
