We can tell Mr. Storey how he could be selling Rich Energy Drink.

Let’s start by giving them a new slogan, something like “Rich Energy Gives You Things!”   Then we photograph a “brand ambassador” holding a can of Rich Energy in one hand and a huge wad of cash in the other, standing in front of a palatial house out in the country, a Rolls-Royce dealer’s showroom, a Saville Row tailor, the Casino at Monte Carlo, and similar “Rich Energy lifestyle” places.

We could show our brand ambassador mixing a can of Rich Energy Drink with a magnum of a 1990 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Grand Cru, or Rich Energy Drink mixed with a nice bottle of Screaming Eagle Cabernet.  Mix it in the right proportions and you’ll solve that unfortunate energy drink taste thing.

This ad campaign would have Rich Energy Drink just flying off the shelves . . . that is, if there were any on the shelves in the first place.

You laugh, they did an ad in a magazine that was not far off that, the line they used was 'forget about wings, we give you horns'.

Lol. You gotta wonder if it really is one man running it all. No way was even that put to a board of ideas to analyse first. Straight to the print rooms!

The Rich Energy Website now features a prominent, albeit low resolution, Haas Logo. Definitely one guy who hasn't quite mastered Adobe software...

Yesterday they had a full Rich Energy livery f1 car on the home page, didn't they? I found it quite nice looking. Something made it them pull it from home i suspect.

Maxioos, They might have pulled it because it was their livery photoshopped onto a Lotus E23 (which was itself an artist's rendition of an E23 with a halo)

The lady in red holding the can of Rich Energy on the page Grippy posted just begs for the caption, "Rich Energy gives you things."

(My apologies to any women who might be offended.  The Briatore photo with a can of Rich Energy Photoshopped in could use the same caption.)

If the halo isn't painted gold to form the obvious antlers then the livery designer needs shooting. It's too obvious, it's literally the logo in 3D from front/above.

In contrary of what I expected and hoped, looks worse and worse with every discovery we make.

Who in God's name steals a logo? That's asking for trouble.

Edit: Looking at whyte their website https://whyte.bike/ , that's a real global (big) compagnie. Can't imagine they will allow their logo in a other global brand. Can't imagine they haven't protected their logo when working with global distribution and dealers.

Edit 2: I'm quite shocked by this. This could mean big problems (could, not fact, but i think will) If the logo is protected (standard, and for sure for global brands) could lead to judge court decision "whenever (within reasonable time, you first have to know your logo is used unlawful) Whyte decides to protect their logo" will be forbidden to be used by Rich. If they than have made millions of can's and possible even distributed, promotion material, and even car livery, all have to be changed and put out of use. The consequences for Rich won't protect them, the brand protection laws are very strong world wide.

The absolute cheek. This actually makes me a bit angry. From a cursory visual comparison, the only difference in the two logos is literally just a tacked-on pair of antlers. Is anyone willing to bet even a trivial sum that Whyte didn't protect their logo against this kind of shenanigans?

Funnily enough, though, this is not the first time the connection has been made:

If i would come across this info as a Haas employee or just a friend of Haas i for sure would tell and advise to look at it.

In the list "words you didn’t expect to read on a Formula-1 oriented forum", coming in at a surprise first place with a whopping bang, we have:

Who in God's name steals a logo? That's asking for trouble.

Remember the whole 3M and Formula 1 logo conspiracy/battle/stuff? That is going to be settled behind closed doors and the only thing that is going to happen is that there will be some money transferred from account A to account B. If there will be a court case between Whyte and Rich, then there will be an outcome sort a like. No need to piss your pants like the whole world is collapsing around you..

That are already global, settled multinational compagnies. Not at all the same case. I can show you enough cases it did go to court and original logo owner wins.

How you know? How can you claim that as fact? I cant get it why you are dismissing it this easy with all cases there have been. It's not in Rich power if Whyte just doesn't want that logo used and judge agrees on that. If Whyte isn't interested in money but interested in logo protection it's no fact it will be "settled case" and without trouble for Rich Energy. Not at all.

So the case arrived. They do exist. It does taste like every other energy drink out there, maybe slightly sweeter and less fizzy but it could all be your mind that its a new product as it probably just comes out the same Red Bull tap. But I genuinely think it tastes a bit different and less potent than your usual stuff, but I think that is the limited fizz making it appear like a kids soft drink. So... it isn't bad!

Manufacturer date and use by period is 2 years. I think they missed a few zeros off that.

The branding is... contradicting and just like the web images show. There are multiple union jacks 'designed' on the can graphics. The main at the bottom which incorporates the 'estMMX' (bit of an outdated idea, been done before) and a union jack cutout in a half rectangle pattern. Nothing premium or stand out really.

Then at the sides more union jacks squeezed to suit some generic gold wavy lines which bear no reference to the logo itself, just graphics for the sake of graphics.

And this is the best bit.... bold text saying 'MADE IN AUSTRIA'  :rotfl:

Whoever designed these has sadly not done their research to similar brands (or has, and just ripped them off). All their social media tags promote a proud and premium British product that is proudly stated on the can that its made in Austria; and there is absolutely no identity to the premium aspect of the ingredients.

The marketing (debatably) works, but I don't think there are many curious people in their target audience that will by it for the purpose of dissecting the item as done here.

I have warmed to them as absolute underdogs of a company that have so many schoolboy errors. The low res Haas logo above; sharing unofficial images on their main page etc just screams they are running on a skeleton crew and one person is trying to do it all as a jack of all master of none. That is dangerous and they could really trip themselves up in lawsuits.

I mean, Mr Storey is a bit of an enigma isn't he? But I am convinced he is running this company single handedly logged into everything on his iphone.

My spelling translator tells both can, but changed for your pleasure. But not my first or even second language, so i don't care if right or not. Purpose of it is clear, that's what count. Language always change, we don't write same as 50 years back and wont over 50 years. Edit: i think even than (translated in Dutch "dan") is better than "then" Which is also translated in "dan" but also more revenging to past and not current time.

Just found out something interesting about Rich, an existing issue that has been going on a while apparently (as in, YEARS). This might get messy in due course. Williams may have dodged a bullet here, or their marketing people are more switched on.

Need to be careful what I type, but Haas have allegedly done all their due diligence and find them OK. Where is the money actually coming from?

No, its to do with an existing lawsuit against Rich that has been going on for a few years supposedly.

Unrelated to that, I also found out (one of) the distribution locations....  it gets funnier!

They are currently operating and dispatching from a Big Yellow Self Storage facility in Richmond. Not quite sure on the legality on that, am sure you can store carbonated drinks no problem, but I always thought there were regulations for climate control on perishable goods, regardless of being sealed or long life.

I was half expecting the address to be a garage when I looked it up.

I have no idea what that is and Google doesn't help at all. Closes i can get is a German or Finish dialect? But could also be a gamers way of speek, really no idea. So, will learn 2 things from you today i expect.

Quite a few e-commerce enterprises are run out of self-storage lock-ups. It's legal. I think the tricky bit comes with insurance liability when you start bringing lots of 'staff' to the site/lockup.

I'd love to know what their due diligence checks involved, I fear they may have been naive.

Williams must have smelt a rat and aborted or not bit soon enough; or the whole thing (with Force India and Haas potentially the next fall boy) could all be smokescreens for one very big and very free marketing campaign that may never have intended to materialise.

I still am not convinced. Haas haven't jumped on the media for what is a massive thing, a title sponsor. Whereas Rich are all over it with affiliations and tags and badly photoshopped images.

The reluctance and blaze differences tell a lot. Rich are fully on board with capitalising this moment. Have Haas even made any sort of major announcement with banners and signs apart from a little slip?

I think i did read same on Reddit. In short, you have some duty to be sure you are not used in a money laundering scam.

Are you referring to a past scam or a present one?
