Did anyone post here on the deal with the BSB team?
Basically the guy who ran the team was an "importer" so had very little to do with the hairy guy, or so it was said. Odd though that he appeared once or twice early on in the deal, they won the championship last year too!
But this year nowhere to be seen, despite the team boss allegedly being an importer. very shady goings on if you ask me and no real honest answers either!
OMG will be the works-Yamaha team in BSB next year, they must be doing something right.

That's the old Rich Energy that are now in liquidation with claimants totalling around £60m.

There are two active directors listed (guess who) and a winding up order was issued in 2020, but it's still ongoing.

Jesus, he's now trying to buy my football team (Reading) for £50 million! Our season is going bad enough - relegated to League 1, 4 points deducted already this season, currently 22nd and in the relegation zone to League 2, staff being unpaid, had a winding up order in June - for Storey to come along and make it all worse! I'd rather the club go bankrupt that have him own it!

Where does he get all this money from?
What money? When did he last pay up on one of his deals?
According to the Torygraph he's actually bought Reading FC. Who'd have thought they accept Bank of Toytown cheques?

Perhaps I should have asked how he keeps convincing people that he has so much money.
It's baffling isn't it.
Almost impressive levels of ridiculousness

If, and I have that as a big IF he bought Reading there will be a papertrail showing actual money I presume.

The list of football clubs owned by dodgy dealers is considerably long, I've no faith in the due diligence process.
Poor Reading fans have been through enough, it's only just beginning if this chancer gets his hands on the club.

His alleged purchase of Sunderland a couple of years ago didn't go far.
You can hear the man himself interviewed by the late lamented Chrissy Rouse and Dom Herbertson on Chasin The Racin Episode 054 .

From THE READING CHRONICLE;
"..................In the footballing world, Storey has had two failed attempts to buy Sunderland and Coventry City since 2020.
According to the Sunderland Echo, "Storey also claimed to have several "bluechip backers" as partners whilst trying to acquire Sunderland but failed to provide details to supporters when asked repeatedly leading to concerns over Storey's actual wealth, which remain to this day."
— Kieran Maguire (@KieranMaguire) October 11, 2023
Away from sport, four companies of which he has been a director have all been dissolved via compulsory strike-off, meaning they have failed to file paperwork with Companies House. ........"
Also, Reading FC ".....Reading Football Club would like to clarify that the process of the sale of the club is ongoing and, contrary to reports, there is currently no agreement in place with any party. ........"
Also if there is any connection with Rich Energy Distribution Ltd, a new company as of Sept 2023 (only connection I see is a shared mail clearing-house), they are agents and wholesalers of food, beverrages and tobacco.

He's a student of Donald Trump Business School - Buy stuff, hotels, football teams, racing teams etc etc, without ever having any or handing over any cash!

It doesn't necessary mean that they are in the tobacco business. I think "wholesalers of food, beverages and tobacco" is an EU statistical group for companies which deal with any of those things, just for bureaucratic purposes. I imagine the UK has kept the same statistical groups after Brexit.

EFL have a ‘fit and proper persons’ test which is conducted on anyone looking to own or control a football club. He may struggle to pass that on what we know currently.
He's positively a paragon of virtue compared to some that own English football clubs. At least old Storey doesn't control a secret police or an air force.

Ater signing a contract & exclusivity in Oct we entered a period of due diligence. Our accountants have reported. My investors & I have decided not to proceed. I wish the club & loyal fans the very best & hope they get an owner who will invest for long term success #readingfc

They've not even managed to strike off his existing companies after so many years of not filing anything. I get the impression it's easy to register a company in the UK, but it's nigh on impossible to strike one off.

With all the stunts he has pulled, you’d think by now he’d be on some kind of professional sport’s black list. Any club or business that enters into a contract with him at this point deserves what they get for not being able to do the simplest of due diligence.
Strangely scammers most times appear able to scam again, and again, and again.
