I could see Rich Energy end up as a smaller sponsor over at Renault.

I mean, both Wild Bill and Cyril hate Red Bull and both are more talk than action. So a match made in heaven.

For nothing?

I mean, they got over half a season of exposure in one of the most prominent racing series in the world. That's definitely something.

But THEY didn't. The ones that paid did not get exposure. The brand Rich Energy did. But that has amounted to very little. So, effectively nothing for the peope who paid the money, I'd say.

Do you still really believe that they have any money to spend on anything?? They do not even have their company name anymore. Storey has squandered the lot.

They paid for exposure of a product you can't buy. That's definitely nothing.

I wasn't entirely opposed to their strategy initially. Getting something like an energy drink, which is basically a commodity, to 'critical momentum' is tough. It's hard to sell customers and particularly distributors and retailers on something you've never heard of. So going big on getting the name out there then following up with supply seemed like it might be astute. They totally ****ed it up, obviously.

You are giving them credit for having actually filled 6 million of their claimed 99 million cans?  You are a very kind person!

It's a big step up from Rich Energy.  She is far better looking than Storey, not to mention rather more accomplished.  And the Peak antifreeze tastes far better too.

But Red Bull gives them the wings.

And Boeing lets you park them in its employees' car park until they can work out how to keep them in the air.

I might have missed something but saw this on the Rich Energy Wiki page: https://en.wikipedia...iki/Rich_Energy

former CEO Storey then announced he would be start a new journey with his takeover of a Japanese adult toy manufactures. Storey reportedly purchased the 8 year old company for a reported £8,000 (1,058,704.00 Japanese Yen).[citation needed]

is this a troll or did he really do that? I can see him do it however.

A company worth as much as a whole £8,000 is about his level. He has clearly used his pay-off from RE, or he has cashed his benefits Giro.

Is there now a self-storage locker in Richmond full of 99 million dildoes?  Imaginary dildoes, of course.

Maybe he just found a purpose for the unsold cans of the UK's premium energy drink?

Maybe RE could buy it and appoint the beard as team principal? I mean they just re-signed Grosjean so how much more incompetent could he be?

Much, much more than Gunther, that’s for sure. Imagine him saying at the season start that they have 93 premium alternators on stock, only for the engineers to discover they have to use last year’s parts...from EBay....

Looking at the Wikipedia page history, the text was added on September 9th by a user called 'talk'. On September 11th, someone else edited the page to describe Rich Energy as "a mythical" company. User 'talk' then removed this. So there is some evidence to suggest that it might not be a hackers work.

Edit:

I got that all wrong. It seems that user 'talk' was the one that added 'mythical'. So I think this could well be rubbish added by that person. Looking at their edits, they do seem to commit a lot of mistakes.

Edit further:

'talk' is not the user name. They do not have a name, just an IP address (they have several IP addresses - all BT ones. So probably just an ordinary Joe with a BT home internet package).

Irrelevant if true or not, that post can’t be good for team morale (and for negotiations, if indeed are any). How can Haas make Storey to just leave them alone?

Well, Haas tried channeling Lotus with their black & gold livery.....

Now they might be trying to channel Williams with a white & green Saudia/Albilad livery.....

Not irrelevant. If it's not true, Haas can easily take action to make Storey shut up. If it is true, it's more difficult.

Not sure what action they could take?  Storey has already demonstrated his complete contempt for the courts.

Yes, but it's certainly easier if he's spreading lies that could be argued are damaging to their business as opposed to simply reporting stuff that they'd rather was not publicised.

I don’t think legal action can be taken in this context. I mean, Storey can claim he heard something like “Ooooh, I wish we were as wealthy as an Arabian prince” on the Haas hallways and he thought in good faith this means they’re trying to sell...or whatwver kooky explanation he can think of.

It's difficult to imagine a court granting an injunction stopping someone for wishing you luck. It's harder still to imagine how Haas could sue for damages, for which they'd have to evidence a financial loss. If it were that easy, William Storey could make a fortune suing forum posters for insulting his beard.

Meanwhile, aside from the conspiracy theories the Beardman (presumably) is still retweeting Haas and writing stuff like this: https://twitter.com/...8584207360?s=21

I would’ve thought Rich Energy would want to stay as far away from any F1-related content as possible for the time being, but that would require an actual social media or, indeed, marketing strategy.

I think that, like Whyte, they are defending and protecting their IP from a pirate.  And they have a LOT of money, so a few lawyers' bills are of little concern to them.  If you keep buzzing around  the head of a giant, he will eventually swat you.
