The judgement was against the two guys personally.  It can't be enforced through a third party.  If Storey personally was the guarantor or if Rich Energy the company had the judgment they could be on the hook for any awards.

The times we've had to do that we provide a letter of credit from the bank and in one case put the funds in escrow from which the client would draw as certain metrics were met. It would be interesting to see how this one was structured.

I believe the judgment was against all of Rich Energy Limited, William John Storey, and Staxoweb Limited.

Do you really think a slippery snake like Storey would be any sort of guarantor? This is the sort of guy who would have cars/homes/assets signed over to other people and I've no doubt the little weasel will get some other mug.....sorry....investor, to stand up and be counted if, God forbid, he was ever sued.

If Storey/Rich Energy were the beneficiary of a Bank Guarantee, then they would not be able to be the Guarantors. In such a case you are not able to guarantee yourself, you need have to have a (hopefully reputable) third party to act as the Guarantor. Having said that it is not always guaranteed that the Guarantor will come good when there is a call made under the Guarantee. I've seen too many cases when a call has been made and all of a sudden the Guarantor has all sorts of difficulties (including sudden bankruptcy) that prevent them honouring the Guarantee. And then are all the arguments regarding the terms under which the Guarantee was signed in the first instance!

That is going to be a bugger to rebrand all those cans, to be fair. No wonder Buffalo Billy is dragging it out for as long as possible.

Interesting! Because they are no longer working "together" (whatever the deal was before), or because they've decided it's a bad look, I wonder?

Oh man, if not for the rebranding that stock pictured above would last them for at least two years at the rate it's all going.

Not one critical questions asked, not even talked about the court case, it was a pure Peter Windsor'esqe promotion video. Not that I expected anything else from Ziggo but still disappointing.

So they spent a couple of hundred quid to have vinyl stickers slapped on a white van that they hired because it would put too big a dent in that massive, "five sterling billionaires" budget to buy their own black van?

The photo's of the van just add to my feeling that the whole thing is small scale. A German friend of mine started importing unpasteurised German beer into this country and wholesaling it. Obviously he also had to buy a similar van. After doing that fairly well for a few years then he got ambitious, and basically launched his own beer brand. He got a decent brewery in Germany to create the beer and had it shipped over here in kegs, and had his own branding and stuff made, glasses, pump clips, etc. (Incidentally, I think that his logo was slightly similar to both Whyte and Rich energy, I'll take a look.) After a number of months he was importing nearly a full lorry's worth of beer every few months, I think that is 28 euro-pallets worth. The beer was good but the this failed for various reasons, but my point is that he never ever had that much money, the whole thing would have been done on something like 30k max I expect, and he never saw the need for such ambitious marketing or self promotion.

These guys are the title sponsor of a F1 team, and it looks as though they have had.... eight pallets of the stuff made and shipped over here or somewhere.. eight pallets … What could the profit on that possibly be ? Even if you were literally doubling your money, which would be extremely difficult, would that be more than ten grand's profit ? How many days sponsorship of Hass F1 Team would that cover ? How many can do they NEED to be selling every day, just to cover the cost of the sponsorship of this team ?

The rental company Storey used to rent this van from probably didnt have a black one unfortunately...

So because of him being mentioned on the Indy broadcast, I took a gander at Jordan King's wiki, and then went on to his dad's... on it contains the entirely uncited line 'Since early 2019 King has developed a close relationship with energy drinks company, Rich Energy.' https://en.wikipedia...g_(businessman)

Bets on that being put in by Storey? It was done on the 17th April https://en.wikipedia...oldid=892896842

Talking of Jordan King, some exposure for Rich Energy as King discovered the limits of his driving ability on pit road and launched a tyre at his mechanic. Hope the guy is okay.

It's like they didn't want to be found, and certainly didn't want to be noticed. I can't believe they didn't take a picture of the set-up.

To be fair to The Liar, Red Bell managed just fine driving Mini's around.  And my local Red Bull rep uses a similar sized van.  Let's face it, the garage is too small to park the 18 wheeler.

well, he's not saying they should have gotten an 18 wheeler but saying they should have gotten a black van instead of a white one with some vinyls on them.

The Red Bull mini's (I think here they where VW bugs mainly) where in RB colors and the bugs here even had a giant can on the back so it really caught your attention.

So a global sponsorship deal of corporation magnitude twinned with an activation programme less substantial than a honey stall at a village fate. This makes loads of sense!!!  :stoned:

By far the most interesting thing about that article is that Rich Energy has apparently been unable to ship an order WITHIN THE UK since February. That’s just abysmal.

Indeed. My point was that Rich Energy's Marketing Department (aka William "Buffalo Bill" Storey) keep telling us about how successful they are, 90 million cans manufactured if not actually filled or sold, five sterling billionaires, Britain's "elite" energy drink, ad nauseum. If he were telling us the truth (stop laughing!), then surely, surely this 21st century Coca-Cola could afford to buy themselves a van. And if they could afford to buy themselves a van, then surely, surely, surely they would buy a van in the same colour as their product and logo, as opposed to a van in the exact opposite colour.

A van is exactly what every one else would do. But Rich Energy are different to the rest - they do things another way - which is probably why they have a different take on their achievements than the way others might see it (see how I carefully avoid anything that might be considered libellous).

This just feels like classic F1 from the 80s. Some guy pretending he has money, or has the backing of major money, gets to wine and dine with the F1 stars on someone's dime. I also expect them to disappear in some kind of scandal. If not, I'd be happily surprised and happy to eat crow.
