Maximum damage to Turkington's championship lead, with Jordan hanging on for the win. How will the points look after that?

Just four points between Turkington and Jordan! Cammish only 15 back. Game on.

Ten cars drawn for the final reversed grid race. Jake Hill on pole position.

And here's the points after that last race:

That's really closed up the championship battle.

Let’s see how far up the field Turkington can go.

So unlucky too. He was just trying to avoid the spinning Subaru.

Oh FFS. I'm not having much luck today. Missed the start! What happened to Jordan?

It’s just too easy to push the outside car off the track at the last corner. Not great racing if you ask me

Subaru spun, Jordan went left to avoid him and spun into the gravel, out.

It all seems to be kicking off...plenty of heart-in-mouth moments for Turkington.

Pleased for Jake Hill. After rightly picking up a penalty at Oulton, it's nice to see him collect a proper win. I've rated him for a few seasons now.

Good stuff, from what I saw. Will have to go and watch the first few laps - but good stuff from Turkington. Potentially a championship saving drive from him? What a mixed up day.

11 points cover the top three in the championship now. Cammish seems to be playing the role of Kimi Raikkonen in 2007, to the BMW's Alonso and Hamilton...

Cammish is being a bit of a stealth contender. Really good consistent job while the BMWs make the headlines for both the right and wrong reasons. Doing a great job of leading the works Hondas.

So, who are you picking for the title with just six races left? Funny how unpredictable this series is. Going into this round it looked like it would be a fairly straight forward run-in for Turkington. Now, it's wide open again.

Feels like  the Jordan/Turks battle could come to blows at some point. Jordan wants it too bad!

My money is on Cammish, though if Cook gets some more reverse grid luck he can't be ruled out.

I've often wondered... does Lewis contribute anything to Nick's BTCC costs, that we know of?

Nic is certainly very brave, for overcoming his disability and getting into a racing car - for that, I give him full credit. But, without wishing to be unkind, he does seem to be somewhat out of his depth at this level, which probably isn't helped by the fact his career seems to come in fits and starts. Has he completed a full season in anything since he was in Clio Cup?

Nic has said he likes to put his deals together without help/funding from Lewis

This is from the most recent round at Knockhill.

It's a shame who won't be on the grid for the remainder of the season. Series is poorer without him...

As long as he's not a liability, I'm all for him carrying on. He's not disgraced himself at all.

He does ok, doesn’t he? Mixes it with the rest of the back end of the pack.

Yes.  i have been favourably impressed that he generally qualified ahead of several others and often raced well, except that he always seems to be the cue ball for others to shoot into the side pocket (tyre wall).   I didn't think he had it in Clios but he seems to do better with a bit more oomph.  Pity that Lewis can't fund him to finish the season (or that he won't let him, although I can understand Nic wanting to do things for himself).  Given his physical impediment, he has acquitted himself very well and I hope he can put something together for next year.

You can't blame Nic really.  if he was known to be bankrolled by Lewis, nobody would ever take him very seriously, he would just be dismissed as a vanity project.  By doing it on his own, at least he is seen to be....I was going to write, standing on his own two feet, but that would be a rather unfortunate expression, but you know what i mean.

I do wonder a little about the Rokit sponsorship though given their F1 presence and their otherwise complete lack of presence in the UK market.  Being Lewis's brother might have had some influence there.

After a dramatic Knockhill, which saw the championship battle swing to and fro, the series heads to Silverstone this weekend for the penultimate round of the year.

It looked like it would be a fairly straight-forward title run for Colin Turkington heading to Scotland, but now he's got a real fight on his hands. Andrew Jordan is just 10 points behind, and the incredibly consistent Dan Cammish is very much in contention too, 11 points back. It should, therefore, be a very intriguing weekend of racing.

The top ten in points is as follows:

1.     Colin Turkington 268pts
2.     Andrew Jordan     258pts
3.     Dan Cammish     257pts
4.     Josh Cook     238pts
5.     Rory Butcher     226pts
6.     Tom Ingram     194pts
7.     Ashley Sutton     183pts
8.     Matt Neal     174pts
9.     Jason Plato     163pts
10.     Tom Chilton     156pts

Calling how this weekend will go is once again tricky. In theory, the BMWs should be more competitive here than they've been before, due to their more aerodynamic car, plus the fact that they showed well at Thruxton earlier in the year - well, the first Thruxton round, anyway. Yet the Honda isn't too shabby either, and Cammish will definitely continue to be a threat.

Just to add an extra bit of spice to proceedings, it looks likely that the weather will play a part too. If you're at the track this weekend, it looks like you'll be getting a bit damp - with rain in the forecast for both qualifying and race day.

Plato was fastest in first practice ahead of Cammish, and, and the time of writing, that's the current order in FP2 as well. http://www.btcc.net/...at-silverstone/

Qualifying is later today at 15:15. You should know the drill by now, you can follow along here: https://www.itv.com/...qualifying-live

The three races tomorrow are scheduled for 12:00, 14:35 and 17:20. Don't miss out! https://www.tsl-timi...2019/193903.pdf

So, with all that said, who do you think will be leading the championship heading into Brands Hatch?

Qualifying done - as usual here, an incredibly close session, and plenty of times being disallowed for track limits abuse. Top ten as follows:

Plato, Smiley, Neal, Ingram, Oliphant, Turkington, Cammish, Sutton, Cook, Proctor

As for Andrew Jordan? Only 14th.

Greasy track conditions - pretty much everyone on slicks, so it could be a pretty wild first few laps.

Surprised to see the Subaru of Sutton doing quite so well - given its well-known lack of straight-line speed, I would've thought they would have struggled here.
