Hello all , so this is my attempt at adding another game to this forum. Fell free to close the thread if i'm out of place or there is already a similar option already being used.

So the rules and premise. Simply predict the 2019 Formula One world Championship, both Drivers and Constructors, from first to last, feel free to add substitute drivers if you are predicting any mid season switches.

5 Points will be awarded for a driver which is correctly predicted

3 Points For a Driver which is one position off.

1 Point for a driver which is two positions off.

3 Points for a team which is Correctly predicted.

1 Point for a team which is one Position off.

The deadline I'll be setting for this will be for the start of the first pre season test. That's February 18th 2019, 08:00am (GMT).

What about submitting two lists? One before the first test and the second before FP1 of the second race?

Or another mode would be to submit one list that you have to complete as the season develops. There are 30 positions in total and you have fill in five before the first test, five before the season starts, ten before the second race and the rest before race five.

What do you think about that?

If this means editing the same post throughout the season then people might cheat.    But, it's just a bit complicated and more work for the person hosting the game.

 

The simpler the game, the better IMO.

The last edit is recorded by the forum software, so one can check if a post has been changed after a deadline. For the addition of positions, one simply would need to quote the old list for the new list. It's of course completely up the the host how he wants the game to be like.

Another possibility would be to allow one driver swap in the original list.

I'd have also said place the points is more about the accuracy of points scored rather than the finishing position.

You're awarded points
on how close you are to the drivers points scores, not necessarily the position if that makes sense.
