Baldassari snookered Luthi there, who was visibly faster through the whole third sector but kept finding his line blocked by the Italian.

Luthi decided not to be MM or Rossi to get the win no matter is a probably better description.

Rather than being snookered I say he just he decided not  to push the leader wide and win. Perhaps too nice?

I think the term snookered was an unfair term on Luthi.

Well, he decided not to risk crash, but Baldassari was blocking nicely

Marquez’ Honda seems a match for the Ducatti’s on the straights. Could spell bad news for those who want a tight season.

The close racing and competitiveness of MotoGP is very impressive as usual, still I'm expecting nothing else than Marquez stepping it up a gear with some laps to go and winning it relatively easy.

Vinales still has a huge problem with the first half of a race and it's killing his results.

Moto 2 bike? Yamaha is better here than the Honda and Marquez would have won this race by a good margin on that bike.

Awesome battle for the lead, but Ducati too strong in the end.

That's an awesome race. Dovi is so clever. Also you have to admire Rossi. Clearly slower than ever but there is something to say for him always showing up Sunday and getting the job done. Yamaha must do better looks to be a fast bike but 4th best to ride.

Sorry, how is the Yamaha bad? Vinales took pole with it, it was clearly better than the Honda here. But he did his usual disappearance in the race and that was that. There is nothing wrong with the bike, by the look of things it can easily compete for wins.

He’s clearly taking it easy to me, doesn’t want another crash, proven by how he easily picked off 4 riders in those last laps. Strong drives from the front three really good race!

Lorenzo is quite banged up from the injuries and falls, thankfully for him the next race is 3 weeks away.

It was the same last year. Thier fastest rider finished behind arguably their slowest rider this weekend. While being beat by a (1) factory Ducati (1) factory Honda (1) customer Honda (1) factory Suzuki. I said the Yamaha is fast smart guy. I said it's hard to ride based on them getting beaten by 3 other factories and 1 customer. Please keep up.

Honda was better than Yamaha, Hermann. Everybody knows your tricks in the forum already. Honda had a great bike, Cal was also very fast while injured. Ducati still a bit more powerful though. Yamaha bike seems to be a diva and Vale raced beautifully to finish ahead of Vinales. His race was almost as good as the one Maq and Andrea had. It is a great era for bike racing.

I saw Yamaha taking pole position yesterday by a good margin.

Today one of their guys who underperformed quite obviously yesterday got from 14th to 5th with ease and had better pace than both the Hondas.

So what exactly were you watching?

No, I dont agree with that. Honda was not faster than Yamaha. Not in Q (results say quite clearly that the yamaha took the pole, not Honda), not in the race. rossi raced well, but vinales did his usual "im no where" trick aided by Marquez pushing him wide in the first lap.

On what basis do you say the pace is better. What does qualy have to do with the race? Points are awarded based off the race. Not fast laps and qualy

On the basis that rossi got to 5th (and was less than a second from the win) from 14th and was quite a bit behind the Hondas for a while (when he was fighting for positions below 10th place), yet closed up on them.

Qualy means nothing? Do you admit that in qualy the Yamaha was faster?

This. What is the point of having a good q bike if you're nowhere in the race. But this doesn't matter to haters and trolls.

Christ. Yamaha was nowhere in the race? Then why was rossi probably faster in this race than the winner? I am actually sure that had he not done such a bad qualy and had he started from top 6 he would have won this race.
