While I agree with this whole heartedly, in the case of Dan his career results do not taly with the size of his ego and the amount of hot air he produces...

Oh yeah, he's kinda rubbish on track ever since Schumacher started beating him, just cool to see villians or whatever you people like to call it in racing.

I absolutely adore the extreme polarities people jump to without any sense or thought. It's either you're a robot or are Ticktum. Just goes to show how most people haven't grown up since kindergarten. Fresh air my ass.

He can say all sorts of nasty swear words but his presence is frail and a mockery of what it means to be a Racing driver and a conscious human being.

Wouldn't your post be the extreme polarity in itself, then? I never said it's either robot or Ticktum, I just said that I enjoy his character as it is not something we see normally these days and yet you seem to be quite upset about my opinion... In this case I guess I could agree with your sentence: "Just goes to show how most people haven't grown up since kindergarten".

Oh boy, it looks like they hired some PR company to write her wikipedia page - https://en.wikipedia...vien_Keszthelyi

This is awful. :rotfl:

^ I like Wikipedia's warnings about the item, but they should have added: "A major contributor to this article appears to be its Mum."

Well done Rinus, another win after winning pole. Ticktum really is mediocre. Indycar talent beats F1 talent.

He was supposed to start 3rd but after some car problems he didn't appear on the grid.

I can see why the commentator was fooled by this picture at the start:
vk.jpg

This is not Dan Ticktum's car 27 with a Red Bull livery – it's Vivien Keszthelyi's car 7 with similar colours. (But Ticktum has that big bright yellow bodywork section around the roll hoop/airbox.)

Race 2 should be starting in 4 hours and 20 minutes

Race 3 should be starting in 8 hours and 15 minutes

So... what happened to Ticktum in race 2? This is becoming a familiar question, I realise...

Edit: Here in race 3, Ticktum gets a 10 second penalty for overtaking under the safety car. Oh dear.

Oh dear indeed, it's almost as if Dan Ticktum hasn't learnt his lesson at all.

Dan's adventure in this series is becoming more and more hilarious.

He should really save face and just quietly abandon the series now. It's hard to imagine how this could have been more disastrous for him, given how disdainful he was towards the opposition before the season started.

From what I've seen of him, Ye Yifei has been very impressive indeed. I think he might be one to watch going forward.

The grid for race 2 was set from the fastest race laps in race one, which Ticktum missed, so he started from the back.

He's clearly just trying to make his inevitable series win more exciting. After all, there's no real competition for him here...

Well, with Jack Doohan joining the last weekend, the series at least reaches the 16 drivers over a season needed to give 100% points, which means he'll only have to gain 35 points on 3rd place overall to get that 3rd and 5 points. Well, if you ignore the other non-met requirements that is.

Why no promoter for a winter series based in the middle east?

A series with cars like A1, super formula or super league would be wonderful

A stand alone series and not a feeder system that is restricted to young drivers

Tracks such as;

Yas Marina

Shakir International

Dubai Autodrome

Qatar Losail

Kuwait Motor Town

Saudi Ar Reem

Istanbul Park

Because it would be a contrived moneygrab?

At least we'd have more Racing.

Although I am coming to the conclusion that a Winter Break is a good thing. Too much of something can become tiresome, monotonous and damaging.

The current Formula E driver line up is decent, will be fun to watch (rather than them in a under powered e-machine) them race in December, January and February before F1 testing kicks off.

What better place than in the land of black gold.

Whoops. Not enough venues (2 instead of at least 3) and not enough weekends (3 instead of 5). So zero SL-points it is.

Good to see the FIA follow their own rules. Even if it is a bit late in the day.
