1963-Ferrari-250-GT-SWB-Berlinetta.jpg

I used this image from Mac's garage because one of the Kit Car companies that still makes Cobra replicas was once going to make coupe version that resembled this car from which the Cobra evolved.

Does any one here, and I know some of you have connections, know why that never happened?

This was approx. ten to twelve years ago.

I prefer the practicality of a coupe myself but that doesn't quite have the visual presence of a Cobra.

That is Factory Five and by memory think they were the ones who were going to do a non-hardtop, non-Daytona Coupe.

There was either a prototype or a clay model, and as I said it was to what Shelby would have made had he not made it a convertable, with a hard-top if one wanted.

The other concern would be the boys who  make Cobra replicas with Shelby concern's OK but would split a bet in favor of Factory Five.

I saw it in Kit Car magazine which  as far as I know died in the past eight years.

Is Bill McGuire still among the living , he has the connections to find out?

FF made their coupe more or less based on the British version.
