Its better than nothing at all haha cant wait till Monday.

Me neither.  Rather fortuitously I had booked Monday off as I am owed about 2 weeks worth of time of that I need to take before April.  Now I know what I will be doing at least part of the day

Imo its a snapshot of a car that is about to get painted (before livery reveal) but its better view for a car itself :-)

The sport is in decline and so are the sponsorship deals, time to accept that. It's good to hear they managed to get anyone at all.

In before it turns out Williams will be sponsored by Rich Energy as well

New title partnership sounds very positive until I remember Williams probably sold it for peanuts again.  Still, I choose to be optimistic!

Better than nothing of course. I'm really curious and excited to know who is that new sponsor.

You and me both.  I am excited, I am happy to see sponsor logos on the car, especially after last season's poor performance and the loss of so many other sponsors.

Telecommunications companies like BT and Vodafone are rumored on various forums.

And the launch will be a livery launch. So I guess there is no FW42 there. Plus the teaser film could also simply be a computer model.

BT already had a presence with Williams although their logo has dropped off the partners list on the official site.  Hopefully their sponsorship would be more reliable than the broadband I get from them

BT could be gone from the partners site for a good reason.. to become title sponsor

I know that the 2019 front wings are wider than last year, but that picture makes that front wing endplate look massive!

Almost like 2009 massive, yep!

But this time they will look much better beacause of the lower & wider rear wing! (& larger tyres)

Well, rumors about the new title sponsor so far are:

- Murican telecommunications company
- Livery to contain black, white and light blue
- Payment more than the Martini one

Other rumors:
- At least two other new sponsors aside from the title sponsor one
- New production processes implemented last year are bearing fruit and will deliver a radical new floor
- The aerodynamic route taken last year will be exploited even more. Read: even slimmer rear end
- Gearbox casing made out of carbon (finally)

Well that all sounds good in writing.

AT&T have white and blue?

Let's wait and see I guess!

As a long time Williams supporter,(sometimes I wonder why :| ) I too am happy to see that they've secured some sponsors for coming season, all I hope is that they produce a much better car to at least challenge the midfield, from last years performance things look a lot better this season as they can not do any worse than 2018.

This would suggest the colour rumours are true?

As long as they have enough budget to be competitive, I would be happy 😊

Wow reminds of the red bull camo test livery potential. Not very Williams like but curious to see what they come up with

That shade of blue used for the 3 is one of two used in WilliamsF1 corporate branding. It's handy these two blues are close to matching the two types of blue BT uses.

I buy into the BT Group angle.  There is no PR regarding the two parting ways, and both companies share a non-executive director in Nick Rose who's standing within BT is significant enough that he was the lead charge in finding BT's current chairman.

AT&T is still attached to RBR.

I'm inclined to agree with BT as well.  They could use George Russell and the team in a lot of adverts to do things about 'super fast' broadband etc.

A phone company with a similar colour scheme to Orlen are following Williams on Twitter https://twitter.com/rokitofficial Could they be the title sponsor?

I think they could be one of the new sponsors being spoken about, Williams seem to be promoting the blue colour a lot and their colours are red so maybe not title sponsorship.

I love this part of the year, it's like the night before Christmas, all the presents are still wrapped and full of mystery, anything can happen. Then you open them and it's an electric corn remover and a home enema kit...... :well:

I thought it was the livery reveal, not the new car so it will be last year nose (I think).

Yeah, tomorrow is the livery/title sponsor (if true) reveal and the FW42 will be first seen when testing starts.

They could upload computer renders of the new car, who knows. I, 0think they did it last year, without any warning

It's funny how Williams always seem to get the biggest number of new sponsorship deals after their worst seasons.

They will probably do very simillar thing to Haas - new livery reveal with some new bits using the FW41 and renders of the actual 2019 car with specific areas like diffuser etc well hidden in the dark.

With that conclusion I'd wait. But hopefully it is the case.

After all the talk about how RK gives PR benefits, I am curious to see if this is actually true.

If Williams are able to secure a new title sponsor, along with the Oren budget and Rexona's continued involvement, sponsorship-wise things are looking a lot better than expected for the team in my opinion.

The team have confirmed it is a title partnership launch tomorrow so why use the word ‘able’

There were a lot of new sponsors after 2011 and 2013, so my statement has some merit regardless of what happens this year. :p

But I'm pretty certain there will be new sponsors. I can't recall the last time we had some information leaking like this which didn't turn out to be true.

It would probably have been more appropriate to ask why use the word 'if' as opposed to 'able' if we are going to talk about semantics.  But, are you 'able' to show me where Williams themselves, as opposed to press outlets, have actually confirmed anything other than tomorrow being the livery unveiling.  Because, if they have, I have missed it and I would rather wait until it is announced before saying it is a definite.

Where does everyone expect the FW42 to be? Good enough to do what Sauber did last year? Progressively get better throughout the season?

Right now I'd be happy to see a car that the drivers have confidence to push to the limits.  I don't realistically expect to jump about 4 places (although it would be nice!)  I would expect it to be right in the midfield.  The thing is this year there are no poorly funded teams so it is going to be monumentally hard to make much progress.
