Expect to be a little underwhelmed today. I will be surprised of we see anything other than last years car with a new front wing

Yep - especially since there hasn't been any noises around Mercedes developments, trickery, etc., bar that one rumour of 12hp gain on the PU side a few weeks ago.

If the teaser pic they released is the W10 then the side pods, deflectors and floor are already different from the W09?

Sounds like they stuck to their guns on the sidepod front... and they're looking quite huge compared to other teams.

So far the only car with lower sidepod inlets and high front suspension.

It's suits their concept. Their FW has also looked different too everyone else's too. They've had 2 years to go the Ferrari route if they wanted and have decided against it, would suggest there's a good reason for that.

Best livery since the MB comeback. Glad they painted the halo too.

Really?? It's the same as it has been for many years now, just a few little Merc stars added.

Not bothered either way with the livery. I’ve always found the Merc livery dull, but I seem to be in the minority. I like the new pattern on the engine cover, hate the blue on the front wings.

Car wise - fantastically aggressive. Love it.

I really like how they have refined the livery this year, I've never really liked the Petronas/merc combination but this is the best they've come up with.

But the the shape of the car looks so elegant

Did anyone else have a "who the hell is number 44?" moment?

I'm so used to seeing it in red that it just didn't properly register in black/white.

Inwash FW just like with the 2009 McLaren. Hopefully not a bad omen.

Probably just a placeholder until the real FW makes its debut in the last testing day.

But yeah, inwash FW seems like madness, just like having low sidepod intakes given every other team and their mothers have gone the Ferrari route.

Really dig the lighter shade of silver and the pattern at the back and it's great to see the halo's silver. Also, rake seems to be quite a bit higher than in previous cars right?

Rake seems to be the same, or even slightly lower than last year (back to W08-style rake).

Maybe it's the livery or maybe I'm just used to it by now but somehow it doesn't seem quite as long as last year. Supposedly has the same wheelbase though.

I'm not crazy about it either. It's fine, very well made, but I find silver cars in general to be pretty boring.

They would have without Vettel's driving blunders.

So what? They had the better engine, not the better aero/chassis.

Can't believe they haven't made the car exactly the same as Ferrari and replaced Hamilton with Vettel.

It's just a minor evolution of the livery, but I like it very much. Well done. The car simply looks great. Best one yet.

Let's not get into a 2018 debate on here. Lewis drove out of his mind to win that title, and hugely benefited from Vettel's inconsistency. The Ferrari was probably the best all-around chassis (definitely better pre-Austria, and probably slighty worse on average post-Austria).
