After the new 3.0 litre rules were introduced in 1966 BRM updated their 1.5L P56 engine.

There are a lot of inconsistencies on different sources over which versions of the V8 BRM engines were used in 1966 and 1967. I would like to figure out which engine was used on a race by race basis.

Drivers that used these engine were:

Peter Arundell        (1966)

Pedro Rodríguez    (1966)

Mike Spence          (1966)

Graham Hill            (1966-1967)

Jackie Stewart       (1966-1967)

Jo Siffert                (1966)

John Taylor            (1966)

Chris Amon           (1966)

Innes Ireland         (1966)

Piers Courage       (1967)

Chris Irwin             (1967)

Bruce Mclaren       (1967)

David Hobbs          (1967)

Mike Fisher            (1967)

https://www.statsf1....oteur-brm.aspx# StatsF1 lists both the P56 and P60 engines.

https://www.oldracin...m/mclaren/m4b/1 Old Racing Cars lists all V8 BRM engines used in 1966 and 1967 as P60 except for the McLaren M4B of Bruce McLaren which is listed as the P111 which is the Tasman 2.1 L engine.

http://en.espn.co.uk...45.html#results ESPNF1 lists these engine as the P56-1 P56-2 and the P56-3

If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Jahn

I've have no doubt that Doug Nye would at least have the correct information.
