It's impressive how many news stories they have been able to generate. Well played.

If that arrangement still works like I remember it working, PMI (aka Mission Winnow) owns all the sponsorship space on the Ferrari and leases it to the team's eventual sponsors. Based on the bit about Ferrari offering opportunities for their partners to take the space possessed by Mission Winnow on a race-by-race basis, I wonder if the Mission Winnow branding isn't giving PMI as much a return on their investment as leasing the space to another company might.Ferrari, Ducati could drop Mission Winnow branding for rest of 2019

Sometimes corporations get so ensconced in their executive suites that they believe they can pull the wool over the rest of the world's eyes.
Sometimes they are right.
But, the tobacco companies deal with a special degree of scrutiny that precludes their pulling off such shenanigans.

Presumably tobacco advertising laws in Japan aren't worrying Ferrari/Philip Morris' lawyers then...
I wonder if we'll be seeing it again after this weekend? Strange saga this. It's hard to see what anyone's really gained.

Tobacco tv ads are allowed in Japan.
Tobacco ads are also allowed in Monaco and Germany.
Also there is no restriction for online advertising.
Mission Winnow is also doing features on NBA.
