We've identified a bug which is causing lots of logouts.
We probably won't have a fix until after the weekend so you may need to keep logging in again until then, I'm afraid...

Last week's issue seems to have gone away - we're trying to figure out whether it's something our developers have done or whether it went away on its own.
If anyone wasn't previously having log out problems (sorry, milestone11!) but was having the issues in the last two weeks, can you let me know if that's gone away this week? As well as letting me know your operating system and browser...

Still happening on my iPhone at least...logged in a few hours ago, have to login again now.

I am still being signed out, arguably even more regularly than yesterday as now it has happened maybe 5 times today alone just on my laptop.

I started having auto-logout problems last week. I first thought Autosport had tightened simultaneous IP rules because I visit Autosport several times a day on three different devices :
- on mobile : Moto G5 - Android 8.1 with the latest Brave browser (1.0.82 based on Chromium 72)
- at work : MacBook - Mac OS Sierra with the latest Chrome (72)
- at home : Windows 7 SP1 with the latest Firefox (65)
My phone-based Autosport sessions are basically limited to transports (going to work then back home) and recently I need to log in on each morning and evening.
The work computer I use for quick sessions during the day seems immune to unwanted logouts.
On the home computer I turn on evenings and shutdown before sleep, I need to log in every time now.

Sorry this is taking so long - we thought it was fixed earlier in the week but it looks like the problem is more complicated than we thought.
Our developers are working on a fix, but it's unlikely that we'll have anything in place until next week.

Good to hear the problem is recognized and worked on.
Got the same problem here, latest Firefox on Windows, cache / website data cleared and all making no difference, logging in about 5 times a day. No problem on the forum, though.

And today the front page of Classic Autosport has been corrupted.
That's an entirely unrelated bug!
You'll be happy to know that the bit which broke is needed for the main site, so we've fixed it. Otherwise I'd have been tempted to say that the "new" site is almost three years old and that the easiest fix might be to stop using Classic...

Phew! Confirmed as back to normal, thanks Grayson. Was getting worried that I was going to get stuck with that ghastly black thing. I'd almost guarantee that a lot more people use "Classic" than is realised. Do you have ways of establishing that? That's an entirely unrelated bug!

Yes - we run an analytics tool on the site so that we can see how many people visit each page. The main purpose is to let us know which stories and features are doing well.
It shows us the URL that people were visiting so that we can see the difference between https://www.autospor...-too-aggressive and http://classic.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/141872

Still being signed out here, sometimes minutes, sometimes only a few seconds after logging in. Have lost a very long post on Rich Energy which was a bit annoying. Lesson learnt, use a blog or word next time!

Our developers have been tearing their hair out to try to figure out multiple bugs to understand why this keeps happening.
We've got some fixes which will be ready to deploy by Monday, so we'll find out pretty soon after that whether they have fixed things...

Adding to this - have to log in to the site at every visit, and it's across all different platforms and web browsers I'm using. Been so for quite some time just like all others here has experienced.

We put a new fix live last night.
The very specific but (where people used to be kept logged in until about a month ago and then started having to log in again every day) should now be fixed.
If you've ticked the "remember me" box and you're not clearing your cookies, running incognito, etc. then you should now remain logged in. Let me know if that's not the case!

Wish that I could say the same. Still have to log in every day on all devices that I use. It's been the case for two years. Cannot watch videos, Autosport has chosen to adopt a video centric website, video numbers increase daily. I. Can't. See. Them. My usual problem is that the Motorsport TV Le Mans video loads and plays then, nothing, a black screen. What's happening now is what you see below, it's a screengrab from Vettel's "Ferrari should do better" story. I'm a paying Autosport+ and digital magazine subscriber for goodness sake, so consider that my contribution to the coffers affords a better service than I'm currently getting. Incidentally, there is a minor saving grace, if, and I use the word advisedly, perchance, the video is worth watching, someone will embed it "in thread" where I have got access to it. Quite how that works, is anyone's guess.

Just to check, are you guys talking about being logged out of the site (ie. Autosport.com and Autosport Plus) or the forums?
And just to be sure (sorry if this is obvious) can you confirm that you're not in incognito or private browsing mode?
