Fascinating that apparently with just a few more points, Mick Schumacher could already have a F1 seat next season.



Autosport sources indicate Schumacher was being evaluated for the second Alfa seat, but a combination of his F2 results and Antonio Giovinazzi's improved form in the second half of the season meant the Italian was ultimately given another year in F1.

Don’t understand hype around Schumi junior, who has yet to demonstrate his worth. Yes, he was Euro F3 champion - but so was Lance Stroll. F3 sank without trace towards the end.

And all this talk about the Schumacher name being marketable - for what, exactly ? The noble art of pushing people off, parking your car in the middle of the track ? I know that you are not supposed to swear in church, but let’s be realistic.

Having famous fathers/uncles didn’t really help various Fittipaldis, Piquets or even Bruno Senna.

Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve never traded off their fathers; more power to them.
