World RX Q2 is about to get underway.

Q1 was super chaotic, just mad. Hopefully a bit less chaos this time.

Update on WRX's 2021 electrification plans after the original 'eWRX' rules... didn't take.

https://e-racing365....lier-nominated/

Top Class

- Electrification kits will be supplied by Kriesel which will allow teams to convert an existing WRX Supercar chassis or develop a new one around it.

- Supply contract lasts for 4 years between 2021 and 2024.

- Total power output of 500kW (680hp) from 250kW motors on each axel with a 52.65kWh battery.

- Capped price of €300,000 and €100,000 four year support package (€100,000 euros per year - cheaper than an ICE supply deal)

Junior eRX

- Sounds like the 'arrive and drive' cousin of the original eWRX

- bespoke 4WD tubular chassis with 250kW (335hp) from a 32kWh battery

- Supplied by QEV technologies

- Entry fees of €150,000 per season or €30,000 per race

And in the meantime, as prevosuly announced....

 2020 developmental support series

Projekt E

- STARD provided EV conversion kit with 450kW

- Will run at select rounds in 2020 as a support to the existing classes

- Gives the organisers time to evaulate the requirments for EV infrastructure

Okay, I missed it. What happened?

Bakkerud kinda opened the door. Not much of an opening, but seeing how they ran 1-2 and it would've been winner is the champion, there wasn't any doubt that any kind of opening would lead to an attack. There was front wheel to front wheel contact, then some they went side by side, Bakkerud out in the loose, touched the tire-wall, bounced back in to T.Hansen, who spun towards the wall, K.Hansen is tagged by Bakkerud on the exit (nothing any of those could've done). But in all this, T.Hansen is down to 5th and Bakkerud is 2nd - and Bakkerud is the champion. However, Scheider got some issues later on in the race, so T.Hansen got up to 4th. And thus won the championship due to 4 wins as opposed to Bakkeruds single win.

It wasn't ugly, it wasn't exactly clean either, but it wasn't like it was a divebomb or anything like that. Also, if anyone ever expected a championship battle coming down to the last final of the season, and it was between T.Hansen and Bakkerud, to be raced 100% clean, I think a re-think is in order!

With that being said, the driver of the season is without a doubt Niclas Grönholm. Lost it due to his appendix and some complications due to that surgery.
