Wondering if you guys on NBC Gold get IMSA live coverage ?

Negative.  But you can get it streamed on NBCSN is you have NBCSN on your cable/sat subscription.

Super interesting that Zak Brown is in Long Beach instead of China...

I agree, it almost asks more questions than it answers.

I enjoyed qualy and am looking forward to the race.

After United parked the IMSA LMP2 entry they had last year they said they could be interested DPi for 2020.  With May coming up and everyone being at the speedway he wouldn't need to boogie to Long Beach to talk Indycar only.  Could be killing two birds with one stone.

haha sebastian! slipping a bs in.

I may have been hearing things, but just after the lady apologised for Seb saying 'BS', I'm sure he said the F word, just after saying "well i am French".

Would have to recommend being a bit careful with booking long hauls on Norwegian though, what with the persistent rumours about them going bankrupt any day soon.

Sure, those rumours are a bit "Force India about to go bankrupt any day soon". But hey, even Vijay *eventually* did go down, no?

Brown talking to Motorsport.com about Indycar full time.  He's saying it's more of when than if they'll join...

https://www.motorspo...l-time/4370283/

emphasis added

“But the shareholders are very supportive of going IndyCar racing. It’s more a question of when than if, and that will be a collective decision. I’ll go forward with the ultimate recommendation when the timing is right and when we as an organization can do multiple racing series competitively without one draining the resources from another. And we’re just not there yet.”

I've seen the same rumours, I'm going via New York so will probably fly Virgin Atlantic

I'm looking forward to the race tonight, need a good one after the total dross F1 race.   tbh I wasn't sure about the cars at the start of the season but they've kind of grown on me now and I think they are rather nice looking (and way easier on the eye than the flipflop shod F1 cars)

Go Sato!  (Yeah, I'm nailing my colours to the mast, I'm now a Sato fan and it has nothing to do with his last win, I just like the guys attitude when he's interviewed!)

I'm currently watching the ELMS race at Paul Ricard, all smooth and leisurely and I notice a certain Dracone driving a random LMP2 at the back of the field.

My Thursday fantasy picks survived qualifying. No changes apparently necessary. Given my experience thus far this year, I find this fairly confusing . . .

Either I'm figuring this out, or, more likely, being led sadly, sadly astray. ;)

Woke up at 2:00 am local time this morning, about midway through the F1 race, so I tuned in for what turned out to be laps 31-35. Caught a replay of the start, saw a few final pit stops, noted the running order, and turned it off and went back to bed. Missed nothing. Can't wait for today's IndyCar race.

That’s something that can go in the next bingo. Random DRACONE mention!

It's unlikely it will be more tedious than the "race" in China. If nothing else its probably difficult to call who will actually win. I'm a fan of the current Indy Car shape, I'm sure the safety brigade will jump on this, but a halo free single seater is a glorious thing to see

It all sounded pretty spectacular from the pole sitter moaning about having a bit of paint under his tyre and 'oh noes', gone was his race.

On a more serious note: here's hoping Indycar stops spoiling the results of their sessions in the YouTube thumbnails. Just do two random cars. Come on guys!

I would like to thank the (supposed) incoming rain in Augusta, Georgia from allowing this to not end up as the lowest rated Indycar telecast ever.   Put down the golf clubs and let's go racin'!

the announcers were saying that warmup was racy. so if there is aggression even in warmup, I think we are all in for a ride in about 90 minutes.

Just realized OvDrone posted Lindsay Lohan of all people in the op. If that doesn’t mean we’re in for crazy, I don’t know what does.

Let's have a great and safe weekend of racing. As a final purple light Venus fortune spirit:

So NBCSN is being super-cool and providing ten minutes of free live broadcast for US viewers. Go to this link: http://stream.nbcspo...m_tags=indy2050

I don't think the countdown timer for your ten minutes of free broadcast is based in cookies, so it would be totally pointless and not worth your time at all to try using a private browsing window to reset it over and over in order to watch the race.

Not really.

I caught the end of Ted's Notebook and he deliberately went over to Valtteri's grid place and checked whether the paint was slippy. It wasn't. Apart from the (inevitable) Ferrari team orders that was about the only thing of interest.

Incidentally, the other day I was cut up on the motorway by an Acorn Stairlift van.

It led me to think, what's happened to James Jakes?
