The 2019 standings


Spain

Please note that you have to spend between 3 and 7 credits on every single bet.
Bets with more than 7 credits will be reduced to 7.

The odds are based on the 2018 results for the first few races of the season with the 2019 results more and more influencing the odds as the races happen.
Kimi's odds are now based solely on the 2019 results.


Bets for this round can be placed on

- Verstappen
- Räikkönen

- WDC and WCC bets

!At different stages (R1, R2, R5 and R10) every player gets 10 additional credits he can spend on one WDC and one WCC bet!
The minimum value is 3 credits per bet, the maximum 7.


The rules:

Spoiler

- You receive 10 credits for every round and you cannot transfer credits to the next round(s)

- You have to place exactly two bets with those 10 credits each round (minimum 3 credits each bet, maximum 7 credits, only integer values allowed)

- The two bets have to be for different drivers

- The deadline to submit/edit your bets is the start of FP1

- For races 1, 2, 5 and 10 there is one WDC and one WCC bet to submit, the same limitations apply for the min and max bet values



You can bet on:

- Driver finishes in Position x or better (Table "Bet Px or better")

- Driver finishes in Position x or worse (Table "Bet Px or worse")

- Driver finishes in Position x (Table "Bet Px exactly")

- Driver does not finish the race (Table "Bet DNF?")

- Driver scores a result (Table "Bet DNF?")

- [Who wins the WDC and WCC? (Tab "WDC/WCC" or see the tables below) at certain points in the game]




The format of your bet should look like this:


4 Hamilton 2
and means 4 credits on Hamilton to finish in P2 at odd 4,18 currently

or

6 Alonso 8worse
and means 6 credits on Alonso to finish in P8 or worse at odd 1,35
(driver has to be classified according to FIA for the bet to be won)

or

5 Hamilton 3better
and means 5 credits on Hamilton to finish in P3 or better at odd 1,27

or

3 Alonso DNF
and means 3 credits on Alonso to not finish the race according to FIA (or being disqualified or not starting the race)

or

7 Hamilton Class
and means 7 credits on Hamilton to be classified according to FIA

or

5 Hamilton WDC
for 5 credits on Hamilton to win the WDC

or

5 Ferrari WCC
for 5 credits on Ferrari to win the WCC

COME ON! I am pretty sure I pressed submit!   I had 7 on Raikkonen going 11worse and I would lose Verstappen's 5th place.

Should we let him in and allow M2000-5's very late entry without the WDC and WCC bets?

 

I'll add 7 Rai 11worse and 3 Ver 5 for now and if no player complains until the next deadline, you can keep the points. For the future, better enter your selection on Thursday evening or send a mail to thegforcembwu at gmail.com , the mail I have set up for the Driver Market game.

 

Edit: wattoroos also didn't play this round, I've messaged him and am waiting for his response.

I would say no, the rules are clear, when posting check that it posted, if too late it's too late.

 

Your game, you decide, what ever you decide that is it.

There's been a problem with the forum on Friday when it's been offline in the morning hours. There's a small chance that M2000-5 opened a browser window, thought about his guess and when he finally submitted his entry, the board didn't register his post anymore.

Not really no, do not want to come across as too negative, we have plenty time to get our bets and when posting you see them actually posting - When posting it is an easy check to see that it did post, and rules are bet in timely or can not score. I repeat your call not mine. and there will be no negative posts or views if you accept them in.

 

But when asked I give my opinion.

No problem with that, I didn't take it as a negative response. I'm just trying to get an idea what the opinion on this is.

Firtsly, rules are rules and I accept my responsibility for not posting in time, even if this is attributed to the forum being down. For example in another competition I mailed my predictino to a member of the forum just to get a timestamp on it and this was accepted by the game host. In this case my "rant" was caused by the certainty that my guess was accepted by the forum. This is the second time, that a submitted reply to a topic gets lost. 

 

So KWSN - DSM's view is totally acceptable by me. He is right, I had time to post my guess. 

 

Sorry for causing such a stir in this topic.

 

Which brings me to this: how can we submit a guess when the forum is down? By email maybe?
