To hopefully finally have 'clean' threads for Renault and RBR individually, maybe a thread where the usual suspects that can't let go of the Red Bull / Renault fight could help so that the posters and lurkers who would like to read about or discuss what these threads are actually meant for, can leave all the gloating, trolling, anger and frustration behind.

It's likely to be muddy, but there are some die hards that can't seem to let go and have axes to grind. It would be nice for the other majority is they do it here.

(Maybe this thread won't be allowed, but it is truly getting tiring up to the point where there is no fun anymore coming here)

I totally understand the sentiment. I’ve now been here once. That’ll do me.

If only to clear the mud from other threads then yes. But I don't plan on participating. Not worth it lol

What is their to add to this? Both teams are underperforming this year relative to their goals, but it looks like Renault at least built a good Power Unit for once.

That's exactly the goal. You won't see me here after this either.

My reasoning was posted in the RBR technical thread:

Boy oh boy...

The Honda is clearly not up to the level it needs to be. Good thing is that it is reliable up to now, but it does seem to need more grunt, especially at acceleration. RBR also hasn't built as good a car under the new regulations because the new rules hurt them most due to the concept they run. I am sure that at MK they are working hard to get it working up to the level they are accustomed to.

Renault made great strides with the PU, especially in the last two races where certain issues were addressed and they can run it at full (or higher) power. The car seems to be inconsistent, but as RBR, Renault is working hard to fix it.

Guys, I am the first to admit that I am one of the harshest Cyril critics and have posted as such here quite regularly. Most of you know I am an RBR guy, not so much Renault. But why do you all feel the need to either prove each other wrong, or gloat, or troll? I honestly do not get it. Don't we want competition? It seems that the general camps are made up out of Dan and Max fans who now have axes to grind (what for, I have no idea, both are great drivers) and that Dan fans who were in the RBR camp the past years suddenly want to see Honda/RBR fail and Max fans who want to do nothing else but downplay Renault's improvements.

It's getting childish, repetitive and boring with us all repeating the same stuff over and over and over again. As if that would change the opinions of the ones you're debating with.

Please get rid of Cyril (   ;) ), but I for one want to see true hard battles on track. The more the merrier.

Can we also discuss Dan vs Max in here? The vs threads are boring as dish water.

This isn't going anywhere productive, especially based on the first few posts in here, so it's getting closed.

Additionally, we would like to remind everyone here of this passage from the board rules:

• Above all, the most important moderator on the forum is you. If you post in a respectful manner, then you should expect the same in return.

If you feel specific posters are causing problems in the RBR and Renault threads, it is incumbent upon all of you to report posts of theirs which break the board rules so that we can handle them.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or another RC Forum Host via PM.
