Monocoque held up well...
But I wonder what that means for Le Mans.

“We’re pushing for the 92 to get a penalty”
Piss off Aston.

I was going to say something about Aston's new owner and penalties, but I'll pass...

What a heretical whimper to a glorious, splendid era of Racing. I for one will enjoy this last race and be grateful for what we had.

Last race ruled by the LMP1s is now live, endurance ladies and gentlemen.
What a heretical whimper to a glorious, splendid era of Racing. I for one will enjoy this last race and be grateful for what we had.
I am watching it on Eurosport2. Great looking cars and close battle at LMP2.

Also on BTSportESPN with official WEC commentary.
Now racing under lights for the final half of the race.

Final two hours of a whole era incoming. Feels quite cathartic.

I've been watching a bit, I find it quite fitting how the Toyota Cup have been largely ignored during the whole time I've been watching.

And the #7 takes a deserved title

And where I live, the same channel that normally has the FIA WEC has Sebring on.
So I hope the replay will be online, somewhere.

That LMP2 battle for the lead near the end was pristine.
Great to see the Dane-Train take the honors in GTE and Congrats to the #83 Ferrari for the GT-Am title.
And so it ends.
Happy for Lopez ( WTCC / WEC ) being alongside Solberg ( WRC / WRX ) and Alonso ( F1 / WEC ) the only multi-series FIA champions and for Kamui and Conway. They deserve a Le Mans win too.
Nevertheless happy for them to end this era. We can now look to the futures with varying degrees of hope. I for one am open and optimistic. Cheers; it's been emotional.

Aston Martin set your pull out of GTE PRO 😭😭😭
GTE and GTLM on its knees right now.

Very happy that Koba is finally a world champion. He deserves it, a hard working and likeable driver.

That was utterly predictable, unfortunately. They have to find money somewhere, not just for F1, but for the company as a whole.

I think that GT3 would replace GTLM... probably sooner than later.

More and more I think Stéphane Ratel is correct and that endurance racing will have to head towards a mix of alternative fuel/customer racing. The days of manufacturers spending untold amounts just for fun are coming to an end.
I think this is putting the ACO's model under threat. With GTLM, they are the ones controlling the regs and are not at the mercy of them. Furthermore, there are licensing issues related to GTLM and the ACO likes to get money. If you want to race at Le Mans, you have to pay for it (homologation). I also think that Gérard Neveu sees the light and that it's the reason why he's getting out of it.

Customer racing is more fun anyway. Compare LMP1 and LMP2. LMP2 is so much more fun. I hope that the hypercar thing works, though.
But for me GT3, TCRs and LMP2s offer the best racing in recent years. No big manu teams spending godless amount of money on them seems to be the common thing between them.

Really sad. I knew for a long time GTE never made sense economically. But damn the highs were so high. 2017-2019, 17 car GTE-Pro grids at Le Mans, 6 Manufacturers. I will never forget that .
So it's looking like Corvettes in IMSA, and Porsche/Ferrari in WEC (if we even get another season of WEC...)
