Tricky question - unlikely to produce much result - but I would like to ask it in any case.

During practice for the 1963 ADAC 1,000Kms race, Nino Vaccarella had a sizeable accident in his works Ferrari 250P, racing number '114'.  There is a familiar photo of it on the internet propped, upside down, against a tree.

My question is simply does anyone have access to any other photos of that wreck, or perhaps of its recovery taking place?  I have been hunting for such a shot for years. It has only now occurred to me to ask here...probably a waste of electrons, but you never know.

I can't find the photo on the internet that you mentioned.  In the Hettler/Klinkel book on the 1000 K, there is an Alexis Collier photo of the wreck.  It appears to be Nino Vaccarella standing to the right holding his helmet.

Doug, you may contact Jan (Hettler) for the photo from our 1000 KM book. PM me for his e-mail address. I do not know any other pic of the wreck, but I have one from scrutineering with Vaccarella next to the car. You can only see the car from the back and yet no race number on it.
