Hi all
Just wondering if anyone may be able to help me out. I own a Reynard 91D ex F3000 which is currently a Formula Holden. I have been told by the previous owner that it was Yvan Muller's 1992 British F3000 Championship winning car. Has anybody out there have chassis numbers of cars entered in that series and time or know who could help me out? My chassis number is 91D-026.
Thanks

Just moved this here as it'll probably get the attention it deserves. Good luck.

I know that car very well!
My memory is a little sketchy on the names but I can give you a few of the details of its history.

It was originally owned by a French F3000 team based at Magny-Cours. I know this is true because Roger Orgee and I drove over to Magny-Cours to pick them up and bring them back to his shop in Weston-super-Mare. Roger claimed we got such a great deal on them because everybody in the UK didn't know there was no duty on them. I did a bit of work on getting them in shape, but in the end didn't like how Roger or the other engineer was running the project. So I left, also think Roger didn't get a second driver, so I was expendable!

I seem to remember Yvan was less than happy on how the car was run and eventually sued Roger and his team.

If I remember any more I'll post it, but that was a very long time ago!

I remember it going very well and the results posted by Rob back that. I have an inkling it did the 1993 season in the UK possibly with Omegaland but as Gene says it's over 25 years ago now.

So most likely an ex Team Apomatox car, driven in the 1991 F3000 Championship by Paul Belmondo, Andrea Chiesa and Emmanuel Collard.
Cars were black with yellow "Radio Nostalgie" logos on the engine cover.

Got to thinking about this in the dark and dusty crevasses of my getting older mind!

Yes, it was Team Apomattox! Oh and Roger bought both cars, so if it survived your car's stablemate should be out there.
I remember the team owner (sorry can't remember his name) treating us very well, even made arrangements for overnight at a local B&B for us. As far as the results, I can't question what your records say, but I do remember hearing that Yvan’s personal sponsor wasn't happy about something and withheld a payment.

Also Roger wasn't happy about me being a friend of Humphrey (Humpie) Corbett, who was running Paul Warwick for Madgwick. I haven't chatted with Humpie in years! If anybody here is in contact with please say "Hi from the crazy Yank" to him for me.

Picture posted in a thread at Autodiva by Gérard Gamand. Apomatox's founder was Dominique Delestre - Autodiva Magazine issue 18 has a history of the Apomatox team (in French).

Apomatox were always underfunded. I recall talking to Andrew Gilbert Scott at Brands 1990 who said it was run on shoestring.

According to Sheldon's Black Book the Team Apomatox cars were 91D-006 & 91D-008

Thank you very much for that greatly appreciated. Sorry for the very late reply as have had some other important issues in life and the Reynard has been on the back burner.
