Hi guys,

As a true F1 fan since my childhood in the 80-90s, I'm considering to buy F1 Paddock Club tickets for Spa.

But my question is : is-it worthy? Can you walk free in the Paddock during the week-end? Can you meet drivers and F1 team bosses?

Honestly I'm not interested in drinking champagne and eating good food but more on feeling the race week-end from "inside".

Regarding the tickets, you have the F1 Paddock Club but also some team F1 Paddock Club. I think Red Bull and Ferrari are selling this. Any opinion on the choice?

Back in 2012 I won tickets for the F1 Paddock Club at Hockenheim. It was definitely a great experience.

 

What is convenient is being able to park inside the race track and jump traffic jams or queues. The food, service and general facilities were amazing (as one would expect for the price). The seats for watching the racing were good, but not more so than usual grandstand tickets.

Contrary to what the name "F1 Paddock Club" suggests, you don't have access to the actual F1 paddock. Rather you get a view over it from the F1 Paddock Club facilities. If you wait in front of the turnstiles to the paddock you might be able to catch some drivers/team members, but you won't be able to get inside.

So is it worth the money? If I'd have to pay money for these tickets myself, personally I'd say it's not worth it and would rather go for some regular grand stand tickets and attend the pit walk on the Thursday.

But that's up to you. If you do decide to buy them, you will definitely have a great experience and some extra features compared to the normal grandstand tickets.

I was invited to Paddock Club in Spa 2017. in Spa it's located  above the garages from La Source side, so you can have a view on both sides of track. My pass included grid walk on Saturday but I did not have access to Paddock itself. But... late Saturday afternoon, the security was a bit soft, so my and my companion just walked with straight faces and wandered through pitlane watching crew working and practicing pitstop and later on we went to Paddock itself. It took around 30 minutes inside the Padock until security noticed we don't have right passes and they escorted us out. Very politely of course. 

 

It was great experience, but it's hard to get to normal world afterwards. Where by normal world I mean paying €400 for privilege of walking miles from parking, being fried by sunlight and waiting in lines to take a piss in plastic box behind the grandstand ;-)

Just curious how much the PC ticket is these days?

You are correct, I called directly GP Ticket Events and they told me the same thing : you do not have access to the F1 Paddock itself, only "guided" tours at specific time are organized. 

So for me, it is a no-go. Basically, the only way to access the F1 Paddock is to be invited either by a team or a sponsor
