You people should be ashame of yourself. The driver says they put him in a undriveable car and all you can register is his ^winning". Its happening all the season, finally smth bad happenned.

There's nothing to be ashamed of. The abuse Kubica gives the team in public is incredible as has been previously mentioned in others in this thread.

It's not making Kubica PR friendly, especially when he's looking for a drive elsewhere. Teams tend to take notice of such comments.

FFS, have you ever, for a minute, for a second, had a thought that maybe, just maybe he has the reason to do so? That There is a slight chance that they are abusing him with the equipment he is given and the way he is threated? That he actually may know what he is talking about with all his expirience?

All of his experience should have helped him make the last corner.

Wow, a lot of hate towards Kubica. So a driver is just supposed to shut up and drive? If the team is taking his sponsor's money but treating him badly then he has every right to complain. Unless you prefer that the drivers are just stupid corporate robots spelling out corporate PR. I personally like it when they speak out. Also, being super polite and praising Williams sure helped Sirotkin, did it? They blamed him for their poor performance and hurt his career

Really strong post race interview again. Saying that a final border was breached today morning. That despite huge improvement in car reaction with a new front wing (opposite to Georges car heh nice one same cars :)) they took it out from ther car. He doesnt understand why. Admitted that he made a mistake in quali but he was driving like a diffrent car today comparing to friday. Also some issues with power steering during the weekend that changed the car feeling today massively. Pretty much summarized the whole season.

The team dug out blind for him to rebuild the car that he crashed to get it ready for the race. They're doing everything they can for him.

You think post qualify Kubica was bashing the team?
Watch him post race ;)

He was furious.
I won't translate as most of you don't really care and you will only see it as Robert's fault.

Imo Robert was so damn loyal to this team for so long. But I guess he realized they don't even respect them.

Mechanics putting all the effort they can with the resources they have is a one thing and team high level decisision is a diffrent one. Robert was very thankful today toward the mechanics in many occassions.

Closing this thread because it's not about Robert's future anymore. It's just a duplicate of the Williams thread discussion.

News!

Kubica could get practice outings in 2020 Haas deal | 2020 F1 season

https://t.co/EqyzYLnCEV

Quote

Having ruled himself out of a race seat at Williams next year, Kubica’s options to continue racing in F1 are limited. He is believed to be looking at a development driver role in the sport next year while racing in another championship, possibly the DTM.

Petrochemical firm and Williams sponsor PKN Orlen, which will sever its ties with the squad at the end of the year, has held talks with rival F1 teams about sponsorship deals and opportunities for Kubica according to Polish media reports.

RaceFans understands one potential deal for Orlen would involve joining Haas as a title sponsor. The team is in need of a replacement following the early ending of its acrimonious tie-up with energy drink brand Rich Energy.

Yup! Steiner visited Orlen lately. And I don't think such figure would be there for some minor negotiations.

BTW thanks for unlocking the thread. Please keep the discussion on point.

Steiner told that Robert would get FPs already a few weeks ago so in that aspect it is hardly the news.

But Steiner visit in Poland 2 days ago in Orlen headquarter get new meaning to the previous words. Polish media are reporting that Orlen can become Haas title sponsor relatively cheap, but the question is how much is there for Kubica though. If he get himself 6+ FPs plus tests outings plus simulator, he could still have a shot there on 2021, given he will prove them he is not as slow as everybody make of him after this year. Romain position at the team we all know, and Kevin contract also ends next year if I am not mistaken.

Oh Haas, why do you do this to yourself?

You have just got rid of a troublesome party that brought nothing but negatives and you go out and get another?

It is an odd move, giving up a race drive for a test driver role, going to another team with performance issues.

I wonder how long it will take for the conspiracy theories to be aimed at Haas?

When he hit the wall in Australia he said "I made a mistake, I hit the Wall", when he bin it in Baku, he said "I have made a mistake" and he apologized on the radio".

Now he says "I am ok, but its a fcking joke".

It is a sad how litle to none trust in him is presented here.

For the split, unfortunately it is unlikely to happen, truly unfortunately. This few last races will be even more painful to watch then the season up to date.

He also said it was his mistake due to not concentrating.

First, it's going to be predictions of a guaranteed drive, based on his FP outings, perceived as spectacular, and as the season progresses and there's no vacancy for RK at Haas for 2021, accusations and theories will take flight again.

"Hallo, Gunter? I heard you are going for Kubica next season and since you are new in the motorsport clearly knowing nothing about it, I strongly recommend not to sign him because Robert was very rude towards poor Williams team this year. In case of any doubts go and read Autosport forum, majority will tell you the same."

I agree it is an assumption, and I don't expect the team to come out and say anything, but I think everyone could see the writing on the wall.

I already regret bringing this up, but it is the latest example I can think of.

Villeneuve walked away in 06, Kubica just decided to not take the +1 in the contract.
The difference is that the team actively worked to get rid of Villeneuve, but wasn't able to, and Villeneuve felt that the shootout was below him (especially when the team said he was injured when he said he was fine). That is the last time I can remember a driver just walking away.
