Hi,

I've started scanning images my father made in the 1950s at various motorsport events around Ireland, cars and bikes, mainly the former.

They can be viewed at https://www.flickr.c...157711423456471

I'll continue to add more as I scan my way through his negative library.

Mark

Mark, nice to see fresh photos from your father's effort all those years ago. Look forward to seeing more if you find others.

Fantastic collection, well done. Are they captioned by any chance?

Yes, when you click on an image, the majority should have a description of some sort.

Hi Richard,

Many tks for the kind comments. My father used a medium format camera (undetermined Agfa model producing 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 negs) up until 1953 when he switched to 35mm using a Braun Paxette rangefinder.

Regards,

Mark

Great photos. Thanks for sharing.

But one correction: the "Jaguar SS100" is an early Morgan 4/4 (your comments are turned off, so I couldn't add this information).

Thanks for that. I'll amend accordingly. Morgan was my first reaction but I didn't think it looked right from that angle somehow.

I shall fix the comments situation as well.
