These I believe to be 'Shelsley Specials' Does anyone know what happened to them, they don't appear to have been seen for quite some time?

Might these be the Dorcas cars built by the brothers Gordon and Donal Glegg? There was certainly a Dorcas I and a Dorcas II. They were named after Dorcas, the woman in the Bible (Acts 36) who was ‘full of good works’:

If you can track down The Automobile for January to March 2013, Graham Skillen wrote a three-part article on the Glegg brothers and their Dorcas specials which may offer a clue as to whether any of the cars are still in existence:

Yes the very same! I have read up on the articles and both the brothers biography, however it doesn't really give the detail as to whether they survived or not, it just would be nice to know as its very fascinating!

There is a brief mention, plus a pic of Dorcas II and caption, in Uphill Racers, though I doubt there is anything there that would be new to you. And nothing of the cars' subsequent fate.
Have you enquired of the Shelsley Archive at the MAC?
