Small story: when Bob Minogue, owning this Cooper Ford, moved to Sydney, he made or renewed his acquaintance with old hand Geoff McGrath, and raced Geoff's MG P Q Replica in Historic events, as well as the Cooper Ford. Cooper Ford was sold to Des Lascelles, who I saw use it at Amaroo Hillclimb, with little success, so he  offered it for sale. Geoff McGrath was a near-neighbour of mine, a remarkable man with wide-ranging experience, very entertaining. He and I discussed my purchasing the Cooper Ford, to run in F5000 events: we had little money, but with Geoff's preparation standards and driving more careful than I had previously displayed, we reckon we would have been still running at the end of any F5000 event( where and when reliability was not much of a feature), so earning money. Didnt happen, but interesting pipe dream.
