That makes plenty of sense for MSR + Honda, as it gives them a guy who knows the car intimately, and they know will perform.

Not that this is surprising, but Jordan Taylor confirmed at Corvette Racing for 2021.
Somehow I don't feel like Jordan Taylors prototype career is over. Not with LMDh and hypercar hotting up.

Yes, but he has also been the additional endurance driver in one of the Corvettes with Magnussen and Garcia for the last couple years (Daytona, Sebring, Le Mans and Petit Lemans)

GM driver as well (Corvette), though not for 2020.

Not sure if here or the ACO/Le Mans reg thread works, but am posting here just because. Marshall Pruett just dropped an Audi LMDh column that also has plenty of other details. Firstly, the chassis that apparently is the front runner to be the core of the Audi and Porsche machines is the Multimatic, which might have implications for Mazda's continued presence in the category? Also, Honda are apparently quite close to an announcement, and there are plenty of feelers being sent out about bringing in IndyCar teams and the like to front efforts for various factories, like the late 2000s LMP675 vs LMP900 era where you had multiple Honda and Porsche teams, and a factory Audi squad (although I guess it won't be Joest this time). If you want to play Christmas wish list, you've got MSR, WTR, and perhaps Andretti in the Honda camp; everyone expects Penske for the Porsches, as per tradition, CGR and AXR at Caddy, and someone fielding a pair of LMDh Audis. Which would put us at 9 IMSA LMDh entries in 2023, with likely someone being tapped for at least a matching quartet of WEC entries for at least the VAG guys. Plus whoever actually drops the money for Hypercar presumably will sell a couple that might find its way into someone's hands over here.
That's a pretty stout grid, assuming we get a decent economic recovery so the budgets stay firm.

and VanThoors in GTD? Thats not fair to the other drivers. Wright, Pfaff, and maybe Park Place were the only Porsche cars in 2020. Where are the “new guys” gonna go?https://sportscar365...factory-lineup/
Some Porsche news. Although Bamber will run and drive a Porsche next year he’s no longer an Porsche works driver. I really thought Bamber was untouchable to be honest. They’ve made some baffling decisions. Also dropping Christensen and promoting Jani to a GTE drive.

I'm tempted to think it may have been a mutual choice. Bamber was already lookiing for opportunites on his own this year. He has NASCAR ambitions, for one thing, and with the addition of further road courses, he'll be in demand.
