Which seat is Alonso's taking for the 500? He is adamant that he's driving in May.

His most realistic option is the 3rd 'McLaren' car.

Everything else that is still open (non-Honda, no Penske, no ECR) would pretty much guarantee he'd be a backmarker.

Pretty much the only other options open to him at this point are Carlin or Dreyer & Reinbold, if McLaren doesn't come to pass.

"In his new agreement with Andretti Autosport, Hinchcliffe has landed with a front-running team while his former employers at Arrow McLaren SP are rumored to have an Indy 500 seat being readied for Alonso after his Andretti opportunity fell through."

I'm fully expecting the details of this Alonso-McLaren deal to be interesting.

Here we are finally, Hinch confirmed for Indy, Indy GP and Texas with Andretti.

To be fair, I never really understood why they got rid of him in the first place.

I seem to remember he left Andretti for Schmidt and left Michael a little confused as they never really negotiated a new deal.

Anyone been to the St Pete GP? I am thinking of grabbing a couple of tickets for my son and I and would welcome any

info before I pay the money.

Ah those days with chromed rims. Love it! Happy to see Penske still using chromed rims.

I went last year and had a great time. Depending on which day you're going, Friday is free entry pretty much every where, if youre there on Saturday and especially Sunday I'd go for seats high up in turn 1, I think my ticket was about $130 for 3 days grandstand seat and paddock access.

Like most road courses, it's a full schedule with Road to Indy series plus sports cars

Theres parking and a shuttle bus from Tropicana field for $10 a day

According to MP podcast Scott will do 8 IndyCar races for Penske this year.

Also Alonso to SPAM to be announced next week.

Interesting talks about a Hinch-RLL fallout too.

3rd/4th time a charm with McLaren?

1: 2007

2: 2014-2018 (2017 Indy still fits with this).

3: 2019 Indy

4: 2020 indy? (since he tried other teams).

Ah, I love those years both in F1 and Indycar for the cars and liveries.

I believe that shot is taken during Jeff Krosnoff's final race.

Looking at the Molson sponsorship in the background, it could very well be the case, yes.

I always liked the paintjob layout, where there is a line that expands from the front nose to up behind the driver. Al Under Jr Valvoline and Rahal Kraco cars did this well in 1991
