The hype train is leaving the station!

Most likely that's the case for me, yes. Call me a patriot in case of Veekay. Please do so.

As far as I'm concerned we're all on board, slaves to emotion that we are. Some of us may take our chances and jump off at the first bend.

Seeing this, am I the only one who thinks a F1 styled Halo would look just better on the DW chassis compared to the current aeroscreen?

At least with the Halo you can still see the the driver.

Huskiboi.

I wonder if he gets a performance bonus for pouring a packet into the 500 milk?

Just needed to write something.  It has been so long so I will ramble stupidly.  Just kidding

Excited as ever for a fun season.  Will be doing the 500 as usual.  Can't wait to see Penske changes.  Hoping Alonso does the Indy Road Course.

On a off note I hope they flat track motorcycles before the 500.  That is some exciting stuff

Looking forward to another year of Indy Car, not sure how I feel about the aero screen, but it's no worse than the halo.

Interested to see what the Penske effect is on the series during the year, and what changes at IMS, first guesses are changes to restrooms ( which I thought were ok last year), fanzones, hard standing parking.

I am ok with the aeroscreen from any angle except dead ahead.  Then it looks fairly 1970s sprint car.  But it's the future, so I might as well get used to it.

exciting to see if supercars ace Scott McLaughlin will make a race appearance this year and also just realised watching the IndyCar opener is the perfect way to end my day after a watching the F1 boys in the morning in 8 weeks time after a long off season

I saw Dixon's car at PRI with the Aeroscreen and I thought it looked really good.  It is very different standing over the car, very different perspective, instead of seeing pictures.  I think as we all go to races and walk up and down pit row you will all like it much more.

They only make chocolate drinks by the looks of their website. No actual chocolate in solid form. It's either hot chocolate for hotels, restaurants or cafes, or a Yazoo type chocolate drink.

That's a good question. I am sure there are Swedes here with access to more information*, or that they are better at digging up stuff. But from all I can see, the ones running the company, are also involved in other companies, none which makes much money (if any money at all).

*The company is Swedish.

Correct. It's a Swedish coco drink firm. But they must be serious. Because you can sponsor one car in IndyCar or two teams simultaneously in F1 or wherever you want. But if you sponsor powerboats, you are a bad ass company!

I mean, Rich Energy apparently sponsored a lot of things too.

Still, I don't have any real doubts about Husky's legitimacy, only that I can't buy a chocolate bar of theirs. Ironically, that powerboat looks more like a chocolate bar than a boat.

I know. It was meant with a pinch if sarcasm.
Finding info quickly on Huski doesn't really bring up much. Other than their profile picture on Facebook was uploaded in 2013. Meaning they are around for over 7 years. Much more I couldn't really find out within two minutes of Googling.

Interesting. Good to see interest from swedish companies.

I think they also have a logo on the F1 Alfa Romeo.

I would also like to find some BINDERHOLZ chocolate bars

I believe the Alfa deal was just one race. I also believe they are committed to another year at Woking.
IndyCar, F1, Powerboats, Football, Arctic expeditions.. they sponsor a lot

From what I remember when I did a quick search when they appeared on the McLarens, they're more of a b2b play. So they try to get hotels and restaurants and coffee shops and etc to buy in bulk rather than selling individually to us at the supermarket. So we may have had Huski without realising it already.

Yeah but apparently their main focus is ski resorts, especially in Sweden. But I haven't seen them and none of my mates have seen them either. I am Swedish, if that wasn't clear earlier.
I saw someone saying they where connected to Longbow somehow, but I don't know if that is true, can't find anything that supports it. All I could find of the company is that the profit margin was -46,2% in 2018.

These guys are easy to find on the internet; cannot see any connection to Longbow here.

Looking at their website, it looks like a skibum attempt to repeat the Red Bull journey - and dont forget Millwall FC !

The CEO seems to have worked a long time for a big food company in Finland called Paulig (revenue about a billion euros in 2017). Perhaps Huski is a branch of this company? Or perhaps funded with help from Paulig?

Let's wait and see what his results are like. But if members of the Indycar paddock are impressed with his testing times -- and they reportedly are -- then I'm impressed too.

Sensational! Would certainly be amazing for McLaughlin to move from Aussie taxi racing to IndyCar.

Roger Penske has clearly seen a bit of that Scott Dixon steel in McLaughlin.

Have always loved the Lotus 56.  Shame that, given the norms of the era, you really can't tell who is sponsoring the entry . . .

OTOH, this guy's looking pretty chipper about making the field.

   Good Day All,

Been quiet here last couple months , but i did check in with someone at the track   and they said  some of Penske's folks had been by the place last week.  nothing was released to the public about what they saw/did/commented on  , but it shows that Penske is taking a very 'hands-on" approach to things for now

I was wondering if anyone else who has a track near where they live has any reports of any of Penske's team stopping by to check out the situation at their track as well?

Otherwise  not much to post here for now  , hopefully i will have news of when the March 2020 practice session  will occur soon .

 Paul
