Trawling the endless depths of the Racing Circuits database I came across this proposed reconfiguration of Donington from 2003. Problem is nothing else on the has any hints on this, and there is no source on the page I found it either. Can anyone here shed a light where this proposal might have come from or fill in some of the story behind it?

I think that was about the time Bernie Ecclestone was battling with the BRDC over the future of the British GP, and Nicola Foulston was selling up to Octagon having submitted her GP at Brands proposal. As Silverstone looked in serious danger of losing the race perhaps Donington's owners were toying with a bid themselves, hence the circuit sketch.
