I just came across a photo for sale on t'net which depicts a small and quite pretty sports-racer captioned as an AD-Climax. The photo is taken in the paddock of a BRSCC meeting at Snetterton 1964 (no specific date). I was a frequent visitor to that track in the 60s but the name is new to me.

Can anyone enliighten me? Name of entrant and driver would help I suppose, if anyone has a programme. Sorry I haven't provided the image but I'm a moron with IT and can't get the hang of posting pics on here. It's easily found with Google Image search.

Thanks for you help. Neat little thing isn't it? Better than the average homebuilt special.

I've managed to get some info from Andrew Kitson who is a bit of a Snetterton expert. It had the ubiquitous 1098cc Climax motor, entrant was G F White and driver E Crocker. Took part in a 10 lapper Guards Trophy race.

I think this might also have been known as the AD Sportiva Climax. One of those cars which you register in your mind, but of which you really know little else, rather like the Victoria Climax was too. I have a vague , as is often the case with me....., recollection of a connection with the Rotovic device. I will have a look though some stuff.

Good find, Michael. I knew the D was for Developments, but could, not think of the A bit.
For something that was clearly low volume , bodywork like that was not cheap, especially in what would appear to be aluminium, going by the dent in the front wing
