Lovely website.
Check out the photo from 1907 -Giosuè Giuppone facing the Saint-Estève curve in Monte Ventoso (La Vie Au Grand Air, 1907). Did he forget there was a corner coming up ? Missed the apex somewhat.

Splendid homage!
Difficult to sketch out the influence of Giuppone's death on the origins of the twin-cam Peugeot.
Had Zuccarelli and Henry joined Goux, Boillot... and Giuppone?

I like to think that he would continue his career flying in the sky. I read an interview with George Barnes where he referred to Giuppone as a novel or future aviator.

This is one of the great things about the internet. That people get the opportunity to teach the world about subjects that would otherwise get buried under the weight of history.

I have a couple of snaps in an album of the unveiling ceremony of the memorial. Boillot making a speech with the mayor and a group of drivers. I assume from this that Louis Coatalen was also present and either he or his wife took the pictures.

6 months have passed since the website was published, fantastic things happened.
I made new friends worldwide, they all contributed with amazing resources, most of which are impossible to find online. 1000 thanks to Paul Gander, Nick Jonckheere, Manel Barò, Narcís Molina and Fabrizio Taiana for their invaluable help. Now the website is much better, with lots of new races, images never seen before and more in-depth reports.
Thanks to Michael Kreuz's interest, Giuppone's website will also be gradually available in German on his website Deutsches Peugeot Vorkriegs Register.
Thomas Ulrich invited me to give a speech at the next Pan European Conference of Automotive Historians, what an honor! The world is crazy right now and my "give-a-conference-in-english" skills are pretty low, we will see what happens.
My latest research on Giuppone's death has been surprisingly fruitful. Among other things, I discovered that my hero, during his deadly crash, was not accompanied by his usual mechanic Paul Péan, but by Mr. Albert Ledunois (unlike as written elsewhere). The story behind the guy who directly caused the accident (Paul de Sainte-Maréville, aka Lucien Tayot) is very strange and a bit sad, I was a little shocked during the research... what a character! You can read the full story in the "Epilogue" page.
Thank you all and... W GIUPPONE!!!
