Ferrari was running low power engine modes & high fuel loads all day, according to our information. So lap times are not representative.

Was fairly obvious anyway, no way were they all of a sudden slower than Williams and Renault...

I watched 80% of the coverage today and I did not see Charles open his DRS once. Says it all really.

They were probably focusing a lot on race pace, consistency & tire behavior... those were our biggest weaknesses last year.

I recon Ferrari will continue doing this for this first week and then look for more performance in the second test, where hopefully we should also see some updates on the car.

But guys, the engine is now a GP5 engine!!1!1

Being serious it is more likely than not that Mercedes will win/dominate this championship. That was the case before today and nothing from today changed that.

But Ferrari won't be lower than 2nd.

The Ferrari is a pretty car (as far as contemporary F1 cars go):

With the thinner and thinner rear part of the car and the tiny airscope, that nose looks too wide now.

No news of the BBC secret engineer from last year ? Who was saying outwash FW was bad etc ? All teams bar Renault are using outwash FW now

Not Force India, Mercedes and Red Bull, 2 of which were faster than Ferrari (on pure pace at the end of 2019).

The one innovation everyone has now copied are the SF70H sidepods!

Yeah it's kind of jarring to see how wide the Ferrari wing is in contract to the other cars. Hopefully there's an update coming in that area...
