Duqueine have shot themselves in the foot methinks. Good that Nielsen and DKR stuck with them despite the 10 kilo weight penalty. I hope we get some Ginetta in the Michelin Le Mans Cup. An ADESS would be fun although their car is probably not good enough.

Poor Kat. With Floersch doing F3 this weekend and the car probably too damaged I can see them pulling out of the first round

STATEMENT: Incident on Track During Le Castellet Test
During the morning session of the second day of the European Le Mans Series official test the no50 Richard Mille Racing Team Oreca 07-Gibson, driven by Katherine Legge, went off track at 11h39 on the exit of Signes corner and made contact with the guardrail.
The red flag was shown to stop the session and the circuit safety teams were very quickly and very efficiently on the scene to proceed with the extraction of the driver.
Katherine, who was conscious the whole time, was taken to the circuit medical centre, after her extraction from the car, for further assessment.
The circuit Medical Director reported that Katherine Legge has a broken bone in her lower left leg and a broken right wrist. Her medical situation is not life threatening.
She was then flown by the Samu 83 helicopter to hospital Sainte Anne in Toulon.
Further updates will be made when more information becomes available.

I did wonder. I assumed that since F1 had come back, the place would lined with tech-pro all year round.
Andy Lally (her IMSA team-mate) has said he's spoken to her father and he wrist is not broken, just sprained.

So much for the Paul-Ricard being one of safest tracks...
Race cars will always find ways of hitting hard things.

Legge crashed in testing last Wednesday when she got on the kerbs on the exit of Signes.
"The track has been resurfaced and is very smooth, so we can run the minimum ride height," Sinault explained. "With the car in this configuration when you get on the kerbs it is like driving on ice."

That was quite an enjoyable race and for some reason I do have a soft spot for this track. Especially in a nighttime endurance format.
Albuquerque's last stint was tremendous and a joy to behold and it clearly meant a lot to the whole United Autosport team.
Endurance racing is still my favorite type of Racing. See y'all in Oct 11th at the next round in Monza.

Been following the race from the first lap while cleaning, lunching, showering and giving attention to the significant other.
I adore seeing prototypes at Monza.

Another great victory for United. Gotta say that this was as close to a perfect season as I have seen in motorsports. Tremendous pace and excellent preparation. Bit lucky that G-Drive hit trouble at the very start of the event, but luck favors the prepared and United utterly dominated this season in ACO style racing. Interesting to see whether they will push to win in Portugal as well!

Another season done. Very impressed by United Autosport, I mean wow - they secured 3 invites to the big race next year. Fantastic in GT with the Proton #77 Porsche snatching the title in the last minutes.
The vast majority of my favorite cars are midfielders in all categories in this series. It's been cool and will follow closely next year as well. Cheers.
