Welcome to submit your entries for the 21st season of PTPC! With 22 races expected this season, there's 2222 points to distribute.
They should have kept it at 20 races for a total of 2020 points in the year 2020, but they screwed up that opportunity didn't they.
Due to the coronavirus situation the season risks getting shortened. If it turns out so, I've decided to scale down each entry accordingly, roughly in line with what thegforcemaybewithyou suggested in the 2019 final results thread, post #6.

This is what you do:
***Post a reply here with your guess on how the WDC final standings of this year will look. There are 2222 (22*101) points to be distributed. Bonus points for fastest laps are ignored.

*Points are assigned to specific drivers, not "the second Ferrari seat" or anything like that (meaning that points placed on one driver aren't transferred to his replacement in case of a driver change).

*You can edit your entry as much as you like until the deadline, which is at the start of the first free practice of the first GP of this season.

*Using a spreadsheet to get the points sum right is really helpful, your initial points allocation is likely to add up to much more due to the widespread preseason optimism syndrome.

This is how points are scored:
* For each point over 2222 that you distribute, you'll be penalized one point.

*** You gain one point in the competition for each F1-championship point that you've placed right, which means:
-If a driver has a higher final WDC score than the amount of points you've placed on him, you'll get as many points from this driver as you've placed on him.
-If the driver scores less than you've trusted him to do, you'll only get as many points as he has managed to score.

An example: if players A and B have placed 130 and 150 points respectively on Ricciardo and Ricciardo scores 134 points in the WDC, the players will score 130 and 134 points respectively for Ricciardo. Player A would then on the other hand have placed twenty more points than player B on other drivers, where they may have come to better use.

The competition is open for entries and changes to these until first free practice starts at Melbourne.

This is my preliminary prediction, which might change before the season start:

Driver        Points
Hamilton      414
Bottas        302
Verstappen    298
Leclerc       275
Vettel        249
Albon         191
Perez         106
Sainz          76
Ricciardo      70
Norris         54
Ocon           42
Stroll         40
Gasly          29
Magnussen      18
Räikkönen      16
Kvyat          15
Grosjean       13
Giovinazzi     13
Russell         1
Latifi          0
If you think a driver will score zero points, you don't have to put him in your list.

If you think some driver will come in as a replacement during the season and score points, feel free to place points on that driver too. Again: points guesses are not transferred to replacement drivers from the one being replaced!

Good luck!

I forgot to submit a prediction. Is it still possible, given the season is delayed?

This game is still set for scaled scores? Seeing as there’s still an ever changing calendar, even when the season gets underway in two weeks.

Yes, scaled scores this year.

And still open for entries! Feel free to post any damn points sum you feel like, but nothing ridiculously excessive or very very few points.

A note on the scaling:

The scaled entries will be rounded off to integer values.

Some values might end up rounded off "the wrong way" to make the points sum exactly N*101.

"Wrong way" rounding selection will be based on "mathematical suitability" if that makes sense to anyone and in a case of equal suitability I'll prioritize

-First rounding off big scores downwards

-First rounding off small scores upwards

-Rounding off equal scores so that the one listed on top in the entry post becomes the larger score.

This is all very poorly explained but rest assured that I know what I'm doing. I'm a bit of a Kimi fan after all.

I am sure you know what you are doing, question now is do I?

As can be seen my points do not add up, I expect us to loose two races from the current calendar, thus only 14 to score from, am I smarter than most or did I shoot myself in the foot pending there only being 14 races?

I think the latter as Makarias is going to scale down the entries accordingly.
