George Russell is quite the talent, apparently he was on similar pace to the eSports drivers in the last few races, that's seriously fast.

such a shame Williams are shite, George on the same level as Leclerc imo, criminal that he's in a backmarking car.

George Russel very impressive -pity its "only a game"     ;)

On the whole I have enjoyed the I-racing in its various forms but - I am very very ready for the real thing now.

IMHO, Alonso would still be able to edge out both of them in the same car over a full F1 season. Is it criminal that FA is not in any F1 car?

No, it's it's the way life/F1 works. Every year only one team (occasionally 2, and very rarely 3) have a car that can win it all. Sometimes great drivers (and even teams) make poor contract decisions. Sometimes it's just a matter of good/bad luck. Hence, sadly, more often than not, the driver that wins it all is not (and is sometimes far from) the best driver on the grid.

:well:

Yes it IS criminal  . but as you say, its the way life/F1 works. I don't think those have to be mutually exclusive though.

Button wins. Alonso went for it at T3 on the last lap, but spun.

Clutching on upshift was already gone at the time, though

I've done quite a bit of full-motion with VR stuff. That is quite a feeling.

IRacing had some problems with lag during the 24hr of Le mans. But considering the amount of teams and drivers that were connecting, it weren't a surprise. It was a much nicer experience to follow than the rfactor2 one, in my opinion.

Also Louis Delétraz claimed another virtual championship yesterday.

What I really didnt expect from this period when so many driver streams was how much new fans Dan Ticktum has gotten from it.

Nice autosport's article about Gasly's experience at the virtual Le Mans!

Sounds like he really enjoyed it!

The iRacing version actually had as many if not more issues than rFactor 2 le mans 24hours, of course the iracing fan boys will never admit it, and now it doesn't look good on max/norris etc that they uninstall rFactor 2 having big hissy fits and bad mouthing the game like no tomorrow and praising iRacing stability then iRacing goes on having as many if not more issue's yet they are not running their mouth about iracing or uninstalling it.

This is online racing and when your running so many drivers/spectators etc during a 24 hour event it's almost impossible to not have at least some issue's, there are so many factors in play no matter what game is used, with people connections from around the globe with various differences in connection stabilities/speed, along with the server load, and driver's making mistakes on their part to.

The Race's Triple crown reaches Le Mans.

40 minutes left and Barrichello leads.
