Hi, I recently produced master patterns for slot car Dolomite Sprints for a company called PreWing in their TinTops range.  I have 2 body shells and would like to do one as the silver with black stripes scheme of Broadspeed, having seen it do so well at Brands Hatch in the day. The problem I have is there seems to be some sort of three line stripes on the vinyl roof which look slightly darker than the roof covering, even that was always black.  Can anyone give me details of exactly what colours were used on the roof of those cars.  Was the vinyl painted a different colour first or painted a dark silver leaving the black as stripes, maybe?

Many thanks for any info.

Never noticed the livery of those '75 "Piranha" cars, always imagined them in the '77/'78 BL Special Tuning livery.

It seems the roof was some shade of British Racing Green? And probably not vinyl at all, as the the C-pillars had.

"Connaught Green" was a colour that Broadspeed used on their engine blocks etc. Not sure if they used it on the Dolomites though.
