I’ve been following The Race with much interest. They have a great journalists’ and specialists’ line-up, many of them ex-Autosport. A site, a lot of Twitter content, and they’re in quite deep with podcasts, too.

However, apart from a little bit of advertising, I don’t see anything towards a business model, or at least not yet. So my questions is: do you have a clue as to who is/are behind the initiative?

Edit: I tried to find any previous threads about this subject, but with such a generic name, if it existed, it is impossible to find.

The Race? A link would be nice to deepen your story a bit.
I don't know it/them at this moment.

Apparently Andrew DeFrancesco is involved in some capacity. If you recognize the last name his son is a F3/F2-ish level driver of little note. Andrew is an....interesting man, if you care to Google his business interests, history, and various public statements.

So we now have two major motorsport sites backed by private individuals with eyebrow raising(or perhaps furrowing) business histories/funding sources, an iffy business model on how this website will make the kind of money it needs to make(nevermind pay back the 'investment) and conflicts of interest between the owner/funder and the people covered.
