I tried to find out more about the private background of Luigi Belluci who raced Maserati and WRE in the 1950s.

There is definitely VERY little about him on the net.

Anybody?

There is indeed very scarce information about Bellucci. He owned a Lancia delership in Naples and was apparently sufficiently wealthy to buy all sorts of cars that fancied him. It was him that financed Paganelli to modify thoroughly a Lancia Aprilia in 1950 with which he entered the Targa Florio. He bought a WRE in Naples in 1959 after beaten by Settember driving one in the local GP.  I have him winning hillclimbs as early as 1937, usually in the South of Italy where he was the most competitive driving Lancia cars. In the fities he bought Fiat and Alfa Romeo touring cars and drove for Maserati in sports cars (probably entred by the factory but owning his car). I couls never find his date of death either.
