These have been quite enjoyable on YouTube... some good insights and nice to relive the races

The fact they clash with the already-established Classic F1 watch-along is totally unnecessary. They should've taken the Monday or Friday evening slot. The further fact they aren't showing full races just makes them dead-on arrival, to be honest. I'll probably catch up with them on YouTube, after the fact.

Looks like they've put some effort into getting the participants together. Could be interesting, like an F1 director's commentary.

Hungary 2006 on right now. https://www.youtube....h?v=m_Nw_BF90_4

As a Button fan since the early noughties this race was a dream come true. Fans of most successful drivers just can't imagine what it's like to wait for so many years until that first victory. I still remember getting so emotional watching the last few laps on my ridiculously tiny TV. Alonso was praised as driver of the day back then but knowing the usual deficit of the Honda that year I think Button did an as great job if not better. Never thought I'd be re-watching it 14 years later with Button and Shovlin providing commentary.

I've enjoyed them. The F1 show has also been an improvement on the dross that they were putting out previously. They've run the whole of the 2014 season as live this last fortnight. Two races a day which concludes on Friday. They've dropped Japan without mention which I think is rather sad. They should have run it as an homage to Bianchi.

The first european race i'd missed in about ten years... and he goes and wins it. I missed all his Brawn wins bar Turkey, and the only mclaren win I saw was Canada... where i missed the last lap because i thought it was all over and went to the loo

Yeah, I never gave up hope, 2004 was a lot of false dawns but this was so satistfying. I was 14 back then and must have watched the race about 7 times the month afterwards. :rotfl:

Croft actually commentated on that race for BBC Radio 5 Live. And I didn't find him annoying in this watchalong. There's 3 other people in the call and as a host he does a decent job in letting them tell most of the story. There's a few awkward interruptions but I think that had more to do with lag than with him.

I thought the Nurburgring one was pretty good, especially having seen the full playback last night on the F1 YouTube channel. I did find Brundle and Kravitz a lot more interesting than Croft and Herbert though, despite the fact that Johnny actually drove in the race.
