?? I was talking regarding work and family commitments which has been extremely time limiting for myself lately. Barely had time in here to catch up or with news etc.

That's fine. I didn't think it came across right when you put forward your silly suggestions right after the actual new names were being discussed. It only takes seconds to skip to the last page and see where the conversation is.

Well it was just some light hearted fun on my part, certainly not the first post like that in here though or the last from many folk. Like I said I've been really busy and don't read every post. Anyway good they have the names sorted.

Sorry for being grumpy.

Just FYI, the (poor) Alex is still a member of the F1 commentary team in Fox Sport Asia. (as at the Australian GP per race show)

That's good to know.  I was worried he had slipped away - perhaps a victim of the pandemic - as someone wanted to memorialise him in a race title.

Or I was making a gentle jest about naming a race after a living former driver rather than a recently deceased superstar of the sport.

Just a coincidence that two countries set to hold two Grands Prix have lost a great driver recently - in Austria's case it's easy to say the greatest.

I also now noticed that the title sponsor of British Grand Prix is Pirelli and title sponsor of 70th anniversary Grand Prix is Emirates.

Should be other way around since the first Grand Prix in 1950 was won on Pirelli tyres. Meanwhile Emirates wasn't even founded back then.

The second Austrian GP wil be called Styrian Grand Prix (or formally known as Formula 1 Pirelli Großer Preis der Steiermark)

It's called after the region where the circuit is located.

Funny, because in Dutch the region is called Stiermarken, stier(dutch)=bull(english) :)
