He is the man!!!! Hope the F1 websites take note of this. We, the fans, are tried of listening to Adelaide 1994 and Jerez 1997. There is a reason he is so popular.  I mean he was the only driver who was overtaking in a generation when others were complaining that it is impossible to pass with modern F1 cars.  This is why he will always be the most popular person in F1 history. Lewis with all his skill can keep piling on the records, but unless he lets go of protecting himself with the fastest car he is never going to earn the admiration that we have for Schumacher! Thank you all for voting for him.

Schumacher's route to victory:

  • Beat Nika Lauda, 56% to 44%

  • Beat Ayrton Senna, 52% to 48%

  • Beat Juan Manuel Fangio, 72% to 28%

  • Beat Enzo Ferrari, 54% to 46%

  • Final: Beat Bernie Ecclestone, 61% to 39%

Funny, I've read the same things about Schumacher 15 years ago in comparison to Senna

Let's be honest, naming anyone else than Bernie Ecclestone the most influential person in F1 history is a joke.

I'm sorry, while I'm a Schumacher fan, we'll need who/what/where/when to provide some context to this information.

I think they (F1) got the right key persons as vote options (no drivers);

Bernie Ecclestone

Enzo Ferrari

Colin Chapman

Ron Dennis

Frank Williams

John Barnard

Gordon Murray

Adrian Newey

Mike Costin och Keith Duckworth (Cosworth)

Wasn't this one of those F1.com popularity contests? Most of them end up comedy gold.
