The sound editing is awful. Engine sound (except those in car shoots) are not matching the actual actions.

The fact that the front of the car makes it look like a Vette crossed with a 1989 Camaro doesn't help in the lameness of the short film.

Definitely the most overrated illegal driving film.

Could not disagree more - I would argue it's the visual aesthetics - sunrise, empty streets, Paris, 35mm film camera - that makes it a triumph, not the road rules or the driving.

The LeClerc version is a complete **** show because it fails to understand exactly that

I like it how the roofline of the car matches the hairline of Prince Albert!

Apart from that, it's just appalling. If this is in any way representative of Ferrari's operation, it's no wonder they haven't won anything for decades.

What was the point of that film? Really, what was it trying to do? Promote Monaco? Promote the Ferrari? Promote a lost GP?

It did none of these things. Seems to have been filmed on a bunch of gopro's and some smartphones as well. And that stabilized camera on the front of the car made the car look extremely understeery, not really good advertising.

Yeah I just watched it a few minutes ago and came away with exactly the same impression. Amateurish production with seemingly no point whatsoever. At least the original seemed to have a soul.

Was this just a promotional event for Monaco and Ferrari? What a pointless film, and reading most of the comments they are very negative, the standard response seems to be what is the point?

What are you disagreeing with? Which illegal driving film is more overrated?

The plot is completely unclear to me and the editing is shite. Had expected a lot more from it to be honest...

The plot goes to waste the moment he picks up Albert. But then again, that was probably the deal for closing down the roads, can't think of any other reason why they would include him. And the music doesn't fit at all.

Part of it was a nice partial tour of the Monaco GP circuit.

Why bring 'C'etait un Rendezvous' into it  ?

And just what are those clapping sycophants doing?

They had a Ferrari, Leclerc, Albert and Monaco and decent equipment. They combined that with awful writting and direction and ended up with this.

The writting and direction is the same level as when my workplace organises a motivation day and we assemble into small teams where each has to make a video on some topic. Its absolutely appaling amateurism.

I did the same thing myself last year - although it was my wife filming from the passenger seat of our rented Nissan...and it took about 10 minutes to do one tour of the circuit.

There was applause at the end, but only from myself

I don't think Rendevous is overrated
