Just a quick note about the unveiling of John Andretti's autobiography, RACER. I was lucky enough to work with John in his final months to put the book together.

It is available for pre-order at Octane Press at https://bit.ly/RacerBook.\

Ten percent of all proceeds will go to John's chosen charity, #Race4Riley, which benefits the Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. John helped raise more than $4.85 million for the kids before his passing.

The book covers his life and his career on American dirt tracks, and becoming a winning driver in IndyCar, the NASCAR Cup series, IMSA, and other prominent events like the 24 Hours of Daytona. John was also the first to do "The Double" by racing in the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.

I'm happy to answer any/all questions about John and the book.

Jade Gurss.

Is distribution in Europe planned (even if it's via Amazon Uk or Amazon Germany that would be fine)? If not I'll be buying it anyway but import taxes means the total price can be considerably more.

Yes, we will have very good UK/EU distribution. I do not yet know the pricing. It should be reasonably priced.

Well done. I will be buying the book in Europe. I think it great when racers have their autobiographies done. Glad John found the strength before his passing and thanks to you as well.

You're welcome. It was not always an easy process, but it meant a lot to me that it meant a lot to John.

Take care.

Really like the cover of the book, are you planning to write another driver biography in the future?

Thanks. We felt the cover was very striking.

I would love to write another book with a driver. I've written with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Darrell Waltrip, but John's book just had so many compelling elements.

(I just need to find my next victim!)

Hi Jade,

We know another.... :)

I talked with John about the Porsche adventure (now why ... :)  ;)  ) but I am certainly curious about what you have written about that year for John within your latest Gem.

Congrats on what no doubt will be another page turner.

Henri!

So good to hear from you. I hope you're doing well.

There's an entire chapter about the tiny Porsche IndyCar that John drove in 1990. Some great stories there....

Take care,

Jade.
