If this poll been done already, I am sorry, but I could find it.

I'll be 34 on the 26th. Have a birthday 1 day before Nico Rosberg, but he's a year older than me. Started watching F1 in the 2000, when I was a teenager. Had a big crush on Frentzen as 14 year old girl (for whatever reason xD) on him and Brian from the BSB. Brian is still a bae... Frentzen well not so much, but I still like him is a cool dude. My current fav driver is Seb. I kinda was very fangirlish back in 2012/13. Still like him a lot but I think I have calmed down on the fangirling part. I also enjoy all the streams going on by F1 drivers now.

Well this topic was just about the age, but oh well, you got me talking :)

42 but I like to think I'm a youthful 42! So Mark Webber was the last F1 driver older than me, although Kimi Raikkonen is still "my generation" and I consider Alonso to be too if he comes back.

It's kind of weird that you spend all your time growing up with all the drivers older than you and then all too quickly you're older than all of them! I'm younger than Schumacher was when he finally retired though!

Having worked in Market Research for many years, I should point out that (in the UK, at least), whilst the younger and older groupings can vary somewhat, the usual breakdowns are:

18-24

25-34

35-44

45-54

55-64

It's always split between 4 and 5 - not sure why, though.

That would have put be in the 55-64 range, but here I'm in the 51-60 range

A bit shocked by how few people under 20 are here (0 out of 65 at the moment I'm posting it!).

On my first F1 forum I posted there were a lot of them. It was just 10-13 years ago. How quickly world is changing nowadays.

F1 has been finally gaining young fans again recently. I think that's more a reflection of people in their 20s and teenage years not really using online forums, than a lack of young F1 fans.

At the risk of sounding like an old grumpy pants I think fora/forums are an old person tool in the age of twitter. snapchats and tictoc(is that even how you spell that?) where people don't want to discuss things anymore but leave 1 liners or 140 char statements and only care about the likes on their hot takes  :p For people who feel they can talk to F1 personnel directly why would they read what scrubs like us have to say.  :rotfl:

Indictment against the sport and the steps taken last 15 years then.

Born on Mother's Day 69 years ago, though most days I don't feel a whole lot different than at age 49. Love F1 today, as much as I did when I was 14.

The first race I ever went to, the 1975 International Trophy was one of Graham Hill’s last.

Yeah, you can find them on reddit and twitter, but those are also the worst places in general :p

26 here

There was a poll on reddit/f1 saying 75% of their users were under 30 and 25% under 20. The largest nationality group was Americans and many had started watching just recently.

Compared to AS, there is a lesser appreciation of the history of the sport, as well as a pronounced Ferrari/Vettel/Kimi love in visible over there. But as a major positive at least they dont complain so much about the sport yet as we do, because they havent watched for 10 plus years like 99% of the folks here have, and become bitter about its changes just yet :p
