[BuddyHolly]

it is with sad news I have to say that Stephen Tyson (Steve to his friends) (known as BuddyHolly on this forum) passed on last week.  The cause is currently unknown but probably related to one of the health issues he had.  I am following his instructions and informing all the forums he attended.  sorry for the bad news.  The funeral does not have a date but I will try to contact you all with the information once I have it.

That is dreadful news.  Buddy had such a genuine manner here, and his enthusiasm and love of motor sport always shone through. I'll miss him a great deal.

This news is utter crap. I really enjoyed Steve's thoughts in here. So appreciated was he, I believe, that he still holds the record for the most likes given to a single post. RIP Steve, you will be affectionately remembered.

I echo this - it's a great kindness and courtesy from both him and you to let the forums he participated in know of his passing.

 

I'm in another forum where the issue of "passed" members being acknowledged is debated, whether to in some way mark the icons with a wreath or similar to let readers know to not try directly responding to the poster.  It's a difficult subject to handle gracefully.

Aww so sad to hear this! I had some good chats with him recently about Buddy Holly, I too am a life long fan.

I made a tribute album in my home studio of Buddy's songs and shared them with him as I was making them. We'll sure miss him here.

Awful news. He was a bloody excellent poster, I liked reading anything he contributed and he is always one of the names I instantly recognise as one of the best posters here. He will be a massive miss and I’m very sorry for his family and many friends on here and beyond.
