As per the poll...

I’ve been ‘making do’ with the highlights packages of all sessions on YouTube, and then following as normal via news websites for the latest developments etc. Seems to be working for me so far...

I'm guessing you'll need an option for "other, would rather not state in comments".

Haha, quite!

My days of bothering trying anything like that are behind me, I could never find anything that worked properly!

I've been paying a ridiculous amount of money to watch on Now TV with my laptop. Normally I'd go round and watch it at my dad's on Sky F1, but he doesn't want me to give him coronavirus or something.

I'm buying F1TV and watching it on a Nigerian app because F1TV randomly decides not to work, which sounds like a fantastic way to spend my money.

F1TV which I'm about to unsubscribe from. For the races that promise something interesting I'll just find a stream somewhere online.

I watch it on Hotstar specifically for Indians. It costs 399 bucks, about 5 dollars for a year, but I get access to all sporting action, not just F1 specific, and movies and series and the like.

I'm actually not watching F1 at all ever since Japan 2018. Have occasionally watched a race highlights reel, but it appears that I haven't missed much.

I hardly get to see the races now, it all seems too ovepriced.
The good old days of decent races and free viewing are decades ago here in NZ.
Watch/listen to live timing on the f1 app, but its out of synch with the commentary.
I see lewis take pole, then 2 mins later Palmer puts on his fake surprised raised excited voice 'hamiltons going FASTER STILL!!!!'

PFFFFT!!!
F1 SUCKS!

I started using alternate methods about 3 years ago when the cost of Sky (not just for F1) got too much - why pay about £800 a year for TV when you can pay £20.

Free with Ziggo/Vodafone combo on Ziggo Sport Totaal (Ziggo Sport is free for Ziggo regulars as well, only it doesn't include additional channels AND F1-TV).

Sky Sports F1, although I’ve watched like one race live this year I think. I’ve watched most of the F2 races live. Make of that what you will.

From 2012-2019 I was using someone else's Sky Go. This year I decided to splash out on Now TV because of the notable increase in picture quality. It's sort of worth it.

I still can't bring myself to miss qualifying or the race.

Also religiously watching F2 and most of F3 for the first time ever. In the past I would often skip qualifying and sprint races. Gets me out of bed early on the weekends and is bloody exciting to boot.

I don't watch the races. I just read up on the result of any major on-track happenings, maybe pull up the odd replay.

I'm from Morocco so somehow we are included in the MENA region broadcast, a single free to air SD Channel (MBC Action) with an HD option behind a paywall, broadcasting in Lebanese-Jordanian dialect that we don't understand and having the rights for F2 and F3 but not broadcasting both. And to add insult to injury, Morocco is not covered by F1TV. So I have to illegally resort to streaming and I prefer Spanish MoviStar F1 coverage since they have De La Rosa and Gene in their team speaking technical stuff instead of Crofty talking about his new sandals.

I'd like F1TV even at double the price.

Other for me.

U.S. citizen.

I'm on F1TV Pro for all practices sessions.  Then, it's live TV (DirecTV subscription) for quali and the race.  I can't stand commercials.  The Sky TV link up from ESPN has cause me to watch ESPN again.  I'd been boycotting ESPN up until their F1 deal, for what they've done to college football (especially as a Group of 5 fan).

Oh.  And to go against the grain a little here....I absolutely love Crofty with all of his bumbling errors, mistakes, stats, and etc.  I find him quite entertaining.  Love Ted Kravitz as well with his goofy self, but I think he is great for his track-side analysis.

Put me down as another "I'm not". I watched the first couple of rounds then since then it's been radio/Autosport live and some sporadic highlights. The moment some races were exclusive to Sky, it broke a 15 year habit of watching every race live.

We have this great streaming-service thingy here in the Nordics called 'Viaplay'. Costs around 30euro's a month, but you get all the F1-related stuff (F3, F2, PorscheCup), NASCAR, Indy, Supercars, WEC and so on in addition to other sports.

Well worth the price tbh.

Other.

I refuse to give sky a single penny. So I take the "Nigerian option". And sometimes watch C4 highlights. I download the official 6-7 minunte highlights from Youtube and at the end of the year burn them to a DVD.

I was away from home for Spa and didn't bother watching it.

Huh? My post disappeared when I mentioned illegal streaming. Well, that's the reality today and has been for at least 10 years.

I'd even claim 25% of the F1 fanbase watches the races via unofficial web streams. F1 used to be FTA, and it can only blame its greediness for the dropping viewing figures. Hopefully in the future they start streaming officially on YouTube.

With great difficulty. Not only is the show hard to endure, it's now also higy difficult to watch other than crappy highlights or paid subscriptions.

Im using now tv sky vouchers.

I voted other as it's not straightforward.

Mostly I use Sky Sports, so yes it's a subscription service, BUT I don't always watch the action live and as I watch through Now TV I have no on demand option DESPITE subscribing to F1 access through F1TV which also doesn't give me on demand when I need it.

Full replays only available to me on the website after a period of time. Useless.
Sky's replays are sometimes fine, but often just not scheduled when I have my spare time to watch.

So even though I subscribe to 2 official services I often find myself downloading files from dubious sources to watch on demand when it suits me.
I wouldn't have to do it if they offered the right product

I record the racees on the Xfinity box, as I live on the west coast. I watch Q and the Race a few hours after they actually happen, typically 10am PST on my weekend mornings.

If the session isn't available on ESPN (happened with Styrian Q and SPA Q) - I view them on the f1tv.

edit - i try not to open FB or any other source where I would get the results to spoil the races.

I'll be damned if I ever pay for it.  Plus, these days can't even call it "watching" because after the start is over, I usually just move on to whatever is more interesting at the time, like clearing the dishwasher, only to check back later and find that I didn't miss a damn thing meanwhile.

Likely all such posts will eventually be deleted. I cannot blame the mods....Autosport/Motorsport.com cannot be seen to be advocating or even permitting discussion of unlawful activities.

I have SkyF1 for INDYCAR and F2.
So if I’m not cleaning out the cat box and have finished scrubbing the bog I might watch the start and the last 3 laps.

A mixture so far, the hotels I've been in while working stateside since mid-July have got ESPN. Before I went, and when I get home, it's highlights on Ch4 - mostly I'll watch a recording of them because the european race highlights are shown just as we sit down to Sunday dinner.

I'll watch it live at home if it ever goes back to free TV.

F1TV race replay. Live it is just too unstable. Tried to watch Spa live and it fell over in the middle of the formation lap so I had a tantrum and watched it when the replay was available.

With how flaky their system is they really need the option to time shift live events and a 'watch from the start' option. BBC iPlayer has this and it works really well.
