To me Herta obviously has the highest ceiling. He's the most exciting american talent on this side of the millenium shift as far as I'm concerned. When he's on song he's untouchable in Indycar. I'd love for a team like AlphaTauri to take a gamble on him for 2023.
O'Ward and Palou obviously also have loads of talent, but neither one has ever really wow-ed me to the same extent as Herta.

Herta has the speed, that's for sure. If he can get on top of the consistency (admittedly, somewhat team dependent too) and make sure his emotions don't get the better of him (we could all see his crash at Nashville coming a mile away), he'll be formidable.

It was surprising to look back on this season, see that Herta's had 8 finishes of 13th or worse.
It says a lot about the up and down nature of several competitor's seasons that, for all that, he's sixth in the Championship.

I am not taking that bet. Pato and Colton are really, really strong. But Palou looks to have the potential to grab a whole bunch of titles. Before we send this off to the archives, take a bow, Alex Palou. Odds on him winning a second before Herta or O'Ward get their first?

On recent form, I have more faith in CGR than Andretti or McLaren to back a season-long title hunt, but I agree, these three are likely to be trading Cups for the next several years.
